Stef:

I get up quick.

"Shit Lena. I was about to karate chop your ass. What are you doing here?"

I sit back down.

Lena laughs.

"Sorry for sneaking up on you I wasn't expecting to see you. I'm actually interviewing for the principal of ABCC tomorrow."

I smile.

"That is great Lena. I am so happy for you. That's been your dream since like forever."

"I know. Fingers crossed."

I scoot over and sit my phone down.

"Wanna sit?"

She smiles and smooths down her skirt, taking a seat beside me.

"You know Stef I almost didn't recognize you without your leather on."

I laugh.

"Sometimes I don't even recognize myself."

She laughs.

"What are you doing back here?"

"Well, I have lived in Ohio my whole life. And when I was thinking of where I want to put my wedding planning skills to the test, I thought of here."

She smiles.

"You know Ohio is where we dreamed of our wedding."

"Sure was."

Lena:

I look at Stef.

"I am really sorry, you always texted me and called and I just ignored them."

"Oh it's alright."

I look at Stef

"No it's really not Stef. I initiated us splitting up and I ignored you. It wasn't fair."

She looks at me.

"Then why did you do it?"

"I don't know. After we split, I was in a real depressed state of mind. And I thought not talking to you would help, it just made it worse. But, now I realized that you were probably going through the same thing."

She smiles.

"It's hard. I missed my best friend."

"I'm so sorry Stef."

I throw my arms around her not able to control myself.

"Hey- shhh. It's okay Lena. It's okay."

I finally let go of her.

"I'm sorry."

I sniffle.

She looks at me.

"You have got to quit apologizing okay?"

I nod.

"Okay."

She looks at me.

"I will accept your apology as long as you promise you won't leave me again. I need my best friend."

She nudges me.

"Deal."

"Alright, so tell me about UCSD. How was it?"

I sit up at bit straighter.

"Well, when I first got there both of my roommates wanted to go out with me."

She laughs.

"That's weird because my roommate was a drunk bitch who wanted me too."

I laugh.
