They slowly advanced towards me. Their fangs out and their eyes were dilated. I smiled a little. It was easier to trick them when their eyes were dilated. I started singing a popular Hindi song. They didn't understand the lyrics but still they were mesmerized. I started dancing and advanced. They still surrounded me but they were frozen in one place.
I started attacking and fighting. Occasionally taking my sticks from my hair and throwing it at them.
Ash~
I stared after Sam. She looked so beautiful that I wanted to undress her and have her right then and there. The thought brought back the familiar ache in my heart. I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I turned to see Hamla standing there with his hand on my shoulder. "You did good son."
"But I have one condition. We had a deal that you wouldn't kill her so I want her."
"You're kidding right?"
"No. I'll keep her out of your way and I get to spend time with her. See. It's a win-win."
Hamla looked at me for a second. He sighed. "Fine. Now please get her out of here." He growled and went away. I knew he had alerted the guards. But we had a deal. They wouldn't kill her. Probably kidnap her and torture her. Thats Hamla's idea of 'alive.'
I went outside to see Sam tackling ten vampires all by herself. I saw one of them sink her teeth in her neck. That vampire staggered back and burned. I was shocked and my jaw dropped to the floor. There was no way anyone could do that unless they had Angel blood. Wait she had Angel blood. That's the only explanation.
She smeared her blood on her sword by cutting open her palm and used it to kill the rest. Her eyes landed on me and she ran for the exit. I chased her down the street and into an alleyway until she hit a dead end. She stopped and turned to look at me.
She looked so beautiful that it hurt to look at her. But I couldn't back down. I had to explain it to her. "How about a deal? If you win you can go back to your safe house and I won't follow you." I said.
"What if you win?" She asked coldly.
"You have to come with me willingly. No backing out or trying to get away."
"What game are we exactly playing?"
"Well we'll spar and the first one to touch the ground will lose. It includes falling on the ground."
She blew out a breath. "With or without magic?"
"No magic." She nodded and charged. I ducked and she spun around to attack me but I parried it.
We kept going like this until I hit her gut. She staggered back, clutching her stomach. She removed her hand to see blood on it. She must've injured herself when she was fighting with those vampires. She quickly gained control and attacked me, in an attempt to stab my neck. I got out of its way and grabbed her hand, flipping her over my shoulder. She fell to the ground with a thud, her sword skidding a few feet away. "You lose." I said pointing my sword at her throat. I scooped her in my arms, bridal style. She protested but I held on to her firmly. After a while she gave up.
I walked out of the alley and away from the party. "So, why are you with Hamla?" She asked.
"I'll explain everything as soon as we get home."
"Its your home. Not mine." I remained silent.
We reached my house in about ten minutes. It opened with my retina scan so I didn't have worry about putting Sam down. I just brought my face closer to the scanner. It scanned my eye and there was a green tick in the black screen below.
The door opened with a click and I stepped in, the door closing automatically behind us. "Lights." I called and the lights turned on automatically. The hall was pretty big with a big couch in the middle of the room flanked by two leather chairs and a coffee table in the middle.
The kitchen was on the left side and there was a guest room on the right. The staircase led to the rooms on the first floor. There was a master bedroom with couches and tv and two other normal bedrooms.
I carried her upstairs and gently laid her on the bed of the master bedroom. I switched on the lights and sat on the edge. She edged away from me. I sighed and opened my bedside drawer. I took a scissors from it and closed the drawer. Seeing this, she edged away even more. "Look I'm only going to cut the cloth covering your wound to examine it." I said as calmly as possible.
She stopped edging away but she eyed the scissors with narrowed eyes. I slowly reached out and cut the cloth. Her body stiffened and she clutched the bed sheet. The wound wasn't very deep.
I put back the scissors. I poured water in a glass and gave it to her. She took it with a confused look on her face. "Don't drink it. Put your hand in it." I said gesturing at the glass of water in her hand. She tentatively put her hand in it. I put my hand in it too and held her hand. She tried to draw her hand away but I held on to it stubbornly.
The water travelled up her hand and down her torso, to the wound. It healed the wound without leaving a scar. All this while Sam just stared at it, fascinated. She looked up. "How'd you do that?"
"This is my element. I can manipulate it." I reminded her and put the glass away.
"Okay there is one situation."
"What?"
"You'll be sleeping with me."
"What!?" She looked shocked with her mouth hanging open. I put my index finger under her chin to close her mouth.
"You don't want to be eating flies now, do you?" I teased. She was still speechless.
"Look I'll explain everything tomorrow so please get some sleep."
"I don't trust you."
Hey guys. I know it's a long chapter. I'm sorry but I hope you'll enjoy it. Until next time. Toodles.
