𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 : 𝐋𝐀𝐙𝐘 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑

"Is that blood?" I scrunch my nose staring at the stained collar of the uniform.
"Yes?"
"That's not a question you're supposed to answer with another question."
Yui giggled, "I guess you're right." She pulled the collared shirt over her head, leaving her in just a tightly fitted camisole.
I fell back on her bed, inwardly sighing at the comfort it provided. After reading Kou's letter, I didn't have it in me to complete my assignment. I grabbed one of Yui's pink pillows and pulled it close to my body. A small smile made its way onto my face as I lay deep in thought. Maybe I shouldn't think of it so solemnly. Kou lost everything, but in a way, he built a new everything. He has a real family now.
I lost my train of thought when I felt the bed dip beside me. Yui finished changing and now laid next to me, bright sherbet pink eyes looking into mine.
"You okay?" She quietly voiced.
"I will be," I turned to stare at the ceiling above me, "once we get out of here."
She turned to look up as well, and sighed. "I wish it were that easy."
"It can be, we just need a little bit more time." I assured her.
"Where will we go?" Yui asked, facing me.
"Well, we can't go home, that will be the first place they look." I list off. "We also can't stay in this area, we might have to go to another city, or if worst comes to worst-"
"Another country." Yui finishes.
I nod my head, finally dawning on me the weight of the situation. Running from humans is one thing, but from ancient vampires, who can literally smell you, is a whole other ordeal itself.
"On a new moon, their powers are greatly weakened." Yui said, grabbing my attention.
"That may be the best day to leave."
I switched my gaze to the balcony adjacent to us. It's a third quarter moon today, so tomorrow is a waning crescent, and then the new moon. My eyes widened in surprise at the conclusion.
"Yui... We have 2 days."
She owlishly blinked back at me.
Two days to come up with a fool-proof master plan that will wipe us off the vampire radar forever. That's definitely not stressful at all.
