When the bus stopped I got off, said goodbye to Marble and looked back at Derrick who was behind me and was smiling uncontrollably,
knowing I had just caught him staring at my butt.
I turned around and walked off the bus and began walking to my house.
I put my Boston Celtics skullcandy headphones on and began to listen to
my music.
Once I finally got home, I saw my Mom, Kyle, and Marley in the kitchen. “Hello everybody.” I said.
“Hey Emerald” Kylle said making his way over to me. He gave me a hug
and kissed my temple and I gladly hugged back.”Where’s your brother?” he asked.
“Hm, I don’t know. I reckon he wen to somebody’s house” I answered. “He’s okay.
He sent me a text asking if he could go to a friend’s house and then the
court from there” My mom said..
“Emmy!!” Marley shouted as she ran to me. “How ya doing hotstuff?”
I say laughing as I kiss her forehead.
“Hey mama” I said while putting my bags down. “
Ah,Ah take that to your room.” she said giving one of her motherly looks.
“Yes ma’am” I answer flatly.
“So, how was your day bay girl. You meet any new people?” she asked “Oh yes, mama! It was wonderful.” I said smiling like a idiot.
“Mhm, what’s his name.” She asked while sipping her tea.
“Haha, mom. I meet girls too.” I answer. “So, there is a boy.” She said with a sound of triumph in her voice. “You got me. You got me.
Their names are -” she cut me off “Their names? So, you mean to tell me that there’s more than 1?” She asked.
“Yes mama” I was getting ready to say their names when Kyle said.
“Now, Emmy, you be careful now.
I wouldn’t want to end to lives early..” he said in serious tone. I laughed as I walked up the stairs.
