You lived in a small town in California, a few hours north from LA.
"Hey are you home alone?" you spoke into your phone.
"Yeah, why whats up?" Your boyfriend Liams best friend, C/N asked.
"Ill be there in five," you said and then hung up. You and C/N have always liked each other and you just started dating Liam to make him jealous. You pulled out your notebook and started to write a quick letter to Liam. Its was an apology. You were planning to do something that Liam would hate, and if you said it to his face hell would break loose. You ripped the paper out of your notebook and folded it up. You threw on some fishnets with ripped jean over them and a cropped F/B (favorite band) t-shirt. You slipped the note in your back pocket and your phone in the other. You grabbed a bag of clothes and grabbed your purse and keys. You ran out to your kitchen and noticed everyone in the house was asleep already.
"Perfect," you walked over to the small to do list white board next to the fridge and wrote 'Im sorry' across it. You ran out the door and hopped in your car. You finally made it to
C/N's house and walked right in.
"What if Liam finds out youre here Y/N?" he asked and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Doesnt matter anymore because i have a plan," you said you threw your bag on the island of his kitchen.
"Oh my, now what is that?" he asked with a small chuckled. You pulled your wallet out of your purse and threw it towards him.
"Ive saved up almost two thousand dollars working overtime for the past two months, we're leaving," he looked at you in shock.
"Leaving? What do you mean leaving?" he questioned you.
"C/N we both hate it here! Lets run away together!" you yelled at him.
"Y/N, I love you and i always will but you're dating my best friend and I'd love to run away and get away from this shit show, but he'd flip," he calmly replied.
"Im finally leaving him, I cant keep lying to myself," you said. You put your wallet back in your purse and grabbed your bookbag.
"Now go get your bag ready we're catching the next train. We just have to stop by Liams on our way there," you stated as C/N started to walk to his room with a smile and pack a bag. You quickly ran to the desk in his dads office and grabbed and envelope. You shoved the note in it and wrote 'Liam, this had to happen' across the front. You shoved it back in your pocket and ran to the car. A few minutes later C/N sat next to you in the passenger seat. He threw his bag into the back seat next to yours.
"Ready?" you asked as you put the car in reverse.
"Yeah, lets go," he smiled as you backed out of the drive way. You made it to Liams house and saw all the lights were out except for his in his bedroom. You threw a big black hoodie that was in the back of your car on and got out of the car.
"Wait here, I'll be quick," you whispered to
C/N as you closed the car door. You quickly and quietly made it over to the window and noticed it was open a bit. Liam was sitting on his bed scrolling though his phone. You quickly slipped the envelope in and ran back to the car.
"What exactly just happened?" C/N asked as you drove away.
"I ended it."
"You didnt say a word to him?"
"I left him a note, if I actually talked to him I'd have to lie to have him not try to kill you, so I wrote everything down."
"Everything?"
"Well, not everything. I didnt say anything about us leaving. But I did tell him I only dated him to make you jealous and that I had to leave him to be with you," you explained. The rest of the ride was quite silent, just the two of you humming along to the music on the radio. You pulled into the parking lot of the train station and parked as far away as possible. The two of you got out of the car and grabbed your bags. You guys had enough clothes for a week. C/N was eighteen already so you were going to stay quite on the down low until you turned eighteen in three weeks. You walked into the station hand in hand and made it up to the counter.
"Hey kids! Isnt it quite late, it almost two AM. I know I'm no one to judge," the guy at the counter said. C/N looked down at you.
"We just found out our friend got in and accident and they live a few towns down in LA," you lied.
"Oh im so sorry!" they continued, "Just give me two minutes!" They typed on the computer and then printed out two tickets.
"Thatll be 40 dollars, i gave you two a small discount," the man at the counter said placing the tickets on the counter infront of you. You payed him and grabbed the tickets. You and C/N made you way to the train and went through the process of getting on. You each bought a drink before you got on. The two of you were sitting chatting as the train started. A few minutes later your phone started to ring.
"Shit its Liam!" you exclaimed. Luckily no one else was on the train. You answered and put it on speaker.
"What Liam," you asked annoyed.
"Is this a joke! Where are you?" he screamed into the phone. As you were about to say something C/N took the phone.
"You know Liam, you're being crazy right now, she ended it with you and you call her screaming? that's ridiculous," C/N calmly said into the phone.
"Oh great, shes with you. Seriously Y/N! You broke up with me through a fucking note you threw in my window and you're already going around with another guy! and that guy is who i though was my best friend! Youre at the lowest of low and you deserve nothing!" Liam yelled.
"Liam I don-"
"Y/N just quit it! You're worthless! I dont know how I ever trusted you!" he screamed and then hung up. You looked up at C/N, both with blank expressions and then you both busted into laughter.
"Oh my fucking god i cont believe we're actually doing this," you laughed as you rested your head on C/N's shoulder.
"Im happy we are," he smiled and wrapped his arm around your shoulder.
