~C/N POV~

"Im home!" i yelled as i entered my front door, getting home from work. No response. "Love? ... Y/N!" She must not be home. Our puppy ran around the corner with a toy. I played with him for a bit then fed him before starting on dinner. I was almost done when i heard the front door open and shut. Y/N walked in the kitchen, freezing when she saw me.

"C/N youre home early," she seems upset.

"Gorgeous, its almost seven, are you feeling okay?" i asked before pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"Yeah sorry, i went to BSF/Ns house. I mustve lost track of time. I- uh- is dinner almost done?"

"Mhm like five more minutes."

"We need to talk but i think i need a minute to think," she whispered.

"Whatever you need."

"Do you need help?"

"Go sit, i got this."

"Okay okay im going." I pressed a quick peck to her lips before she walked to the living room. I quickly finished up dinner then got two plates ready. I brought the plates into the living room, handing Y/N one as i sat next to her. We ate in a comfortable silence and then i took the dishes into the kitchen, putting them into the dishwasher. "C/N!" Y/N yelled.

"Im coming!" I dried my hands then went back. Y/Ns purse was open next to her and her hands were behind her back, "What up?"

"Can you please sit?" She turned, sitting cross legged, as i sat next to her.

"Are you okay?" I asked, wiping a fallen tear from her cheek. She didnt respond, just handed me a small rectangular box she had behind her back. I opened it revealing a positive pregnancy test. After the initial shock a smile krept onto my lips. "We're having a baby?" i asked excitedly, looking back up at her. She had a hand over her mouth. "Hey, hey whats wrong?" A sob escaped her lips and i pulled her into a hug, setting the box to the side.

"Im sorry," she whispered into my shoulder.

"Dont apologize, let it out," i rubbed her back for a while until she pulled away, "You ready to talk?"

"Yeah..."

"Why are you upset? Arent you excited?"

"Youre not mad?"

"Oh my god of course not. Why would i be mad?"

"C/N we're not ready for a baby. We just bought this house, you just bought this ring," she looked down at her hands, fiddling with the engangment ring i gave her just a week ago, "I dont know if i can do it."

"We're gonna figure it out. Have you called your mom?"

"No not yet. Im not ready to tell anyone."

"Okay thats fine," i pressed a kiss to her forehead and she nuzzled her head into my neck. I wrapped a blanket around us and put on a movie. Y/N eventually fell asleep so after the movie ended i carried her up to bed. I changed into some sweatpants then cuddled up next to her, falling asleep myself.

-A few weeks later-

"Im so sorry we're late. We had to stop for gas," my mom explained as she walked into me and Y/Ns house, my dad close behind. 

"Its okay, we just finished dinner," I shut the door and we walked into the dining room, where Y/N and her mom were setting the food on the table. We all sat to eat, making small talk for a while. It went quiet for a second. I looked towards Y/N and she nodded. "So, um, we invited you over cause theres something we have to tell you guys."
