Mazes POV.

Changing into normal clothes for once in a life time, I finish tying my sneakers in the Garden as Nick and Sav grab a few weird pouch looking things and load them into the backpacks we have. Lucian keeps telling us to stick together and don't go into the city's at all over and over again as we load up on things before we leave for the real world again.
Listening to her as I finish my shoes and putting a light jacket on, I smile as she warns us and doesn't shut up.
"Lucian, we know. We will keep an eye on her and she will not leave us, if you stop talking about that!"
"I am just trying to make sure you know the dangers of what can happen. I know that Xanderous will kill all of us if something were to happen try to Mazealine." Yelling at the two behind the small vines as I finish changing, Lucian sounds more worried about Xander than me leaving.
"He can suck an eggplant if he thinks he'll beat my ass up."
"Ew, his girlfriend is right there Nick."
"Maze! Your boy friend will be choking on a god damn eggplant soon of something happens to you!"
"How about we don't kill him..with an eggplant?" Walking around the corner to see Lucian looking like she saw a ghost murder a human and Sav trying not to laugh, Nick looks at me and shrugs meaning he is just being honest with me.
He's going to kill my boyfriend with an eggplant...keep big Russian man and hybrid god away from each other.
"Alright Lucian, we are good to go. We'll be back in a day." Pulling me closer to her side, Sav holds nicks hand as Lucian nods and does something to make a flash of white blind me for a moment, hearing nothing and feeling nothing as we leave from one place to the next.
Soon enough, that moment goes away along with the feeling of losing your senses as birds chirp away and the sounds come back to my ears. The brightness and warmth of the sun returns to me as the smell of rain hits me. That distinct smell of wood and the forest comes around to me making my eyes open and a smile return to my face as I watch all the green moving around in front of me.
Looking at the trees move from the soft wind, I get lost in a sudden happy and calm sensation in me. This feels amazing, it reminds me of amazing. This is incredible, what ever this feeling is, I don't want it to leave. And I think that says I belong on earth, in the woods with normal people...kinda normal people.
"Hey! Day dreamer! Grab your bag, lets go!" Getting snapped out of a daze, I look over to Nick and Sav who are ready to start looking for..what ever we are looking for. Grabbing my bag and shuffling the small amount of dirt off of it while running to catch up, Sav smiles at me as I run to them.
"How's it feel to be back?"
"Great, just wish I was in my own woods."
"You'll get there soon enough. Come on, Nicks impatience's is going to get the better of him soon." Both of us look over to him as he watches his watch and groans, yelling at us to move it, I start to think he could be a general in the army or something like that.

Over the hours we are here, the sun starts to set faster and faster by the hour and we've only gotten samples of half of the plants we need. It has to be around eight at night and we are still jumping over rocks and small creeks in our boots chasing down a plant.
