Leaving was easy, after Xander yelled and chewed out anyone he asked help from. That was hard to get him calm again, but once I said let's just leave he was pretty much fine.

Being home was a whole other thing. Everyone was at us as soon as we stepped inside, asking questions to me and Xander about...me and everything else.

I guess if you are a Luna in a pack, people really miss you. Xander had just pushed me past everyone and upstairs into his office where my mom was waiting patently.

Instantly I was in her arms with a smile, she looked so tired. Everyone does. "Welcome home Honey bear."

"Thank you."

"Now. How are you feeling? Do you needed anything at all?" Pulling away, her hands landed on my cheeks as she inspected my face, particularly the color eyes which I still find creepy.

"No mom, I'm fine."

"It's so good to see you again." Pulling in for another hug, I feel her touch the ends of my hair and I smile. I love my mom. "I-I'll let you two be alone. I'll call you later okay? I have some things to get done."

"Are you sure? We just got back."

"I know dear. I'll see you later...I believe you two need some time."

"Mom..." I start Nodding, a bit sad that I only got to see my mom for a mere five minutes, she left Xander's office without another word to him. He still scared her. He was still her Alpha.

Plopping myself down on the couch in the room, my eyes close themselves on their own account. I'm not tired, but I guess the body plans otherwise.

"Maze?" Xander's voice carries over to me quickly, and soon enough he's on the couch with me. One of his hands rubs circles on my knee as I lean my head back.

"Hmm?"

"Come here." Opening my eyes to crawl into Xander's lap, I smile in content at his touch as we just lay there. "You'll have time to talk to them later."

"Them?"

"I assumed you'd talk to your friends...and your dad. He asked about you to your mother, and me."

"He did?"

"You haven't talked to him since that...thing a few months back babygirl." Rubbing my head lightly with his hands, my eyes open again as I bite my lip. I don't want to talk to him.

"Yeah, well he hasn't exactly been a father figure in these past few months either."

"He is still your dad Maze. Talk to him." Stern. That's the stern voice....

"Why? Just so I can hear how I am a disappointment? I guess it's about time I really got that talk from him just like all of my other siblings, who are dead may I add." I really didn't need to bring up my two siblings, but it just came out.

"They aren't dead because of your dad. He's not a great man, but you are his only child left Mazealine. He still wants to know how you are doing, the least you could do is spend five minutes with him." Deep voice and the full name come from Xander, which only means Bane is out now.

"I'm not talking to him Bane. I....I know he's still my dad but you know, he's been a shit dad. I have plenty of reasons to not talk to him."

"Such as?" Looking up at him, I sit up and angrily stare at him.

"Lets start off with he's a drunk! He's been a drunk since I was a kid! My mom is terrified of him because of his anger issues. He is a perfectionist down to every fiber of him and if someone in his life isn't perfect he gets rid of them! I was only perfect for so long to him because I got into a swimming scholarship for two years that is incredibly hard to earn!"
