Chapter 6 - Making Sure

I had decided to take a trip and i'm wanting to invite Kennedy, Kylar, and possibly Jessi. I contacted Kylar and Jessi, but Kennedy didn't pick up, of course. I decided to try one last time. I picked up my phone once again and automatically it buzzed. It was Kylar.

"Hello?"

"Howdy, Brooke!"

"Oh, hey Kylar! We haven't talked in a little while."

"Yeah. We haven't. Listen, the reason i'm calling you is about school and the trip."

"What about it?" I was really worried.

"Just that school has been delayed for about another three months or four because of the weather issues in the net few months. So... the trip will for sure work for me! What do we need to bring?"

"Oh, phew. I thought you were going to cancel. Well, you need to bring things you would bring if you were going on vacation. Do you have the right supplies?"

"Yeah, I think so."

"Good, make sure you're ready by tomorrow. Okay?"

"Yeah, no problem."

"Well, I got to contact Jessi, so see you tomorrow."

"Okay, bye."

"Bye."

I put the phone down.

But then I picked it up again. I forgot to call Jessi. I dialed Jessi's number.

"Come on. Come on. Pick up. Pick u... Oh, hey Jessi!"

"Brooke?"

"Yes, IT'S ME!"

"Oh my god, Brooke. Hi. Oh my gosh, it's so good to talk to you again."

"Yeah. Do you know if you're going on the trip?"

"I'm totally going on that. I'm almost finished packing."

"That's awesome. Make sure you're ready by tomorrow, okay?"

"Yeah, no problem. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Okay, um... bye."

"Bye."

I finally put the phone down. Oh, crap. Kennedy.

I picked up my phone for the third time. I contacted Kennedy.

No answer. I put my phone down, but then it rang. It was Kennedy.

"Um... hello?"

"Brooke?"

"Uh, yeah. It's Brooke."

It was silent for a minute.

"I'm sorry about my use of tone during our last conversation. I shouldn't have done that."

"Oh, that's in the past now. We're cool right?"

"Yeah. Totally. Iv'e missed you."

"The past few times iv'e called you, you didn't answer. How come?"

"Like I said, that's in the past. Let's just drop that issue. Okay?"

"So are you going on the trip that I texted you about?"

"For sure. I wouldn't miss it for the world."

"Good. I'm happy we're back to normal."

"We're BCFFL's again!"

"Yeah..."

"Well, iv'e got to go. My parents are fighting again."

"Oh, yeah. Parents. Am I right?"

"Yeah. Well, see you tomorrow."

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye!"

I was so happy things were back to normal.
