'Rain, sorry, I can't pick you up.'
Rain kept on reading the message she received early morning. Ni hindi nga niya alam na may cellphone si Ian o baka nama'y nakitext lang ito.
Habang nag-aayos siya kanina, si Ian ang inaasahan niya na susundo sa kanya. Si Ian lang naman kasi ang palagi niyang kasama.
Ibang driver ang kasama niya kanina. She felt bad because she didn't have a chance to talk to Ian yesterday because of Prince.
She took a deep breath, trying to focus on her work. But her mind's playing with her. Ian's running in her mind. There's nothing to deny. She missed Ian.
Nawawalan siya ng gana sa trabaho niya, without Ian's presence. Tumayo siya at hinanap si Aubrey.
She saw Aubrey, busy on her phone, in her office.
"Hi..." Bati niya. "Did Ian came in? I don't see him around?" Mahinang tanong nito. Hindi pa sila gaano ka-close ni Aubrey. Aubrey is like the type of a woman na hindi nagpapakita ng emosyon. Palagi itong poker face, kahit ang boses nito walang emosyon.
"Ian?" Tanong nito na parang hindi niya ito kilala. Tumango na lang si Rain.
"Ian? The driver?" Sabi ni Aubrey. Rain's face glowed, expecting that Ian came to work but...
"Sorry, but... He's not around. He sent me his resignation letter awhile ago. It looks like he's up to something." Gustuhin man ni Rain na tanungin kung bakit pero biglang nag-ring ang phone ni Aubrey.
"Excuse me." Aubrey said and walked out of the office. She felt sad at the same time crying. Hindi niya namalayan na sunod-sunod na ang paglabas ng luha niya. She's starting to get worried about him.
Anong nangyari sa kanya...
MALAPIT na siyang mag-out pero wala pa rin si Ian na susundo sa kanya. She never felt this sad like since she flew to Spain.
Her phone beeped again. She clicked on the message she just received.
'I'm sorry, again...
Mas lalo siyang nalungkot dahil hindi siya maihahatid ni Ian. This time, she replied Ian's message.
'Tell that to me face to face.'

She turned off her cell and made her way outside the building.
Nang makarating sila sa apartment niya, napansin niya na hindi nakalock ang pinto. Pero ang alam niya, nalock niya iyon bago siya umalis.
Pumasok siya sa loob at tinignan kung may nanakaw o kaya'y tao sa loob. Wala siyang nakita, it's the same. Wala namang nagalaw sa mga gamit niya.
She turned around to close and lock the door, suddenly someone covered her mouth and held her body.
"Shhh..." The man said. He is wearing a black mask, black clothings. She immediately calmed down when she saw his green eyes.
"I-Ian..." Hindi na siya pumalag pa sa halip niyakap niya ito ng mahigpit. Tears start to flow from her eyes.
Ian hugged her back. "Sorry na..." Bulong nito. Kumalas si Rain sa pagkayakap nila at tinignan si Ian, mata sa mata.
"Where were you? You got me worried as fvck, Ian!" Sigaw nito. Hinawakan ni Ian ang kamay niya.
"Rain, I'm so sorry. Something came up and hindi na ako nakapagsabi sayo... Sorry na..." Malambing na sabi nito at pinunasan ang luha ni Rain.
"Nasasaktan ako dahil nakikita kitang umiiyak. Sorry na..." He hugged her again. This time, Rain stopped crying.
"Ano ba kasi ang problema? Tell me." Sinubsob niya ang mukha nito sa dibdib ni Ian.
"I'll tell you soon. But for now, aalis muna ako." Natigilan si Rain. Aalis siya?
"Why? Don't leave me." Pagmamakaawa niya. Hindi niya alam kung bakit ayaw niya itong umalis. All she knew is, she needs Ian.
"It's not the time to explain. But, I'll try my best to tell to you what I'm up to when I come back. Okay?"
"B-but..."
"Please..." Tumango na lang si Rain. Atleast nagkita na sila. Hindi na siya masyadong malungkot. Pero bakit kailangan niyang umalis?
"Bakit ka pa aalis, dito ka na lang." Sabi ni Rain. She can hear Ian chuckle.
"Give me a reason why do I have to stay?" He played with her hair.
"Because..." Hindi niya alam kung ano ang isasagot niya.
"Because I missed you..." Pareho silang nagulat sa sinabi ni Rain. Hindi niya nakikita ang reaksiyon ni Ian but she heard him whispered.
"I missed you too." Her heart was pounding, fast. Parang hindi na ito normal. She's thanking the heavens, he's feeling the same way as her.
"Do you really have to leave?" Tanong ulit ni Rain.
"Stubborn... Yeah. I need to go. Promise, I'll come back." He held Rain's face and kissed her forehead.
"Promise?" Pinagdikit niya ang kanilang noo.
"I promise." He said before kissing her nose.
"Don't break your promise." Ian smiled and shook his head.
"I love you..."
