the next morning, naeun didn't meet up with namjoon. she stood in front of her locker in her usual slouched position, staring at her rousy reflection in the mirror.
she had barely gotten any sleep last night.
her uniform was messy, her tie improperly tied and a few buttons were unbuttoned.
she sighs at her reflection, with no intention to fix it. so, she then slams her locker closed and wraps one backpack strap on one shoulder.
at this point, she could come across as a delinquent.
her eyes wandered around for a moment, before noticing a familiar figure walking towards her from a distance.
it wasn't long till she noticed the strong aura that radiated of off none other than, park jimin.
he gave small smiles to whoever greeted him as he passed by, and naeun watched as he walked closer and closer to her, but hasn't noticed her once.
she blinks in confusion when jimin walks right past her, without even looking at her, and down the rest of the hallway.
to much curiosity, she called to him.
"park!" she hollers through the hallway, and awaits jimin's response. he responds quickly, however, by stopping in his tracks abruptly, looking over his shoulder.
"um.." naeun stammers, suddenly blank on what to say. she called to him because she thought he didn't notice her-
but wait, why does she even care in the first place?
suddenly jimin speaks before she could.
"if you're going to ask for someone's attention, you might as well make it worthwhile." jimin replies coldly, before turning on his heel and walking off.

during lunch break, naeun decided to eat on the rooftop instead of the cafeteria. she figured namjoon would be there and she didn't want to face him yet.
with that, she began taking the flight of stairs of starlight high to the sacred place.
however, before she knew it, she bumped into someone's chest, stumbling back slightly, before catching her balance.
