"do you a what?"
jimin's sudden question puts naeun in huge disbelief. his expression was a mix of shame, but with light desperation. it seemed as if he was in some sort of trouble.
but naeun was so, very confused. why would he ask her, out of all people for any kind of help? the last time they saw each other, they considered each other competition but now, it seems like that was just one sided.
"wh-why the hell would you ask me?" she chuckles out of disbelief, the situation seeming unreal.
"you haven't even heard what the favor was yet!"
"then tell me, park."
again, jimin lets out a sigh, embarrassed at himself. "i...i'm performing at this club..."
he begins to speak softly this time, gazing down at his fingers. it was the first time naeun ever saw him so nervous, it made her a bit more curious.
what made her more curious, however, was how is he performing at a club if he's a minor?
jimin continues, "my father owns the club, and he wants to attract more customers since lately we haven't been making a lot of money..."
naeun stops him for a moment, "hold on, what does this have to do with me?"
jimin clicks his tongue in annoyance, "i'm not done, you idiot."
naeun rolls her eyes at him, but gives in. "fine, keep going."
"my father wants me to perform at the club. thing is though, i've already performed at the club multiple times, people have seen me already. i feel like i wanna bring...something new. something fresh."
after jimin further explains, naeun begins to piece everything together.
"so, you think me performing would bring something new to your father's club?"
"hm," jimin hums, "not only that, but the both of us, doing a duet."
"like the one we learnt together?"
"yeah!" jimin pipes, his expression brightening at the idea. "that'll bring so many people in."
the idea makes naeun snicker, suddenly throwing jimin off. "you want me, your competitor, to do a duet with you at your father's club to help you make more money?"
