"Eve? Wake up dear.." Eve opened her eyes,brown big eyes stared back into her mother's. "We're going to visit the newly opened museum remember? But we gotta hurry,the journey is about an hour." The lady smiled.
Eve nodded obediently and quickly got washed up and dressed. She was so excited. She's never been to a museum before. By the time she was ready,her parents were already downstairs waiting for her.
"Hey Sophie..have you given it to her?"
"Oh yes,the gift ! Thanks for reminding me,Ed." She laughed.
"Good morning Eve." Her father smiled. "You look beautiful..like your mother when she was young.." He said,almost drifting off to wonderland. Sophie coughed. "Oh..err we better get going ! To the car! Ladies first..." He opened the front door,while his wife and daughter stepped out.
In the car, Eve looked out of the window, as she watched the nice little house of hers disappearing down the road.
"Eve..look what your father and I got for you as a birthday gift. Its the silk scarf that you always wanted." Eve looked in amazement as the scarf was placed in her hands. It was as long as her arm and was white,embroided with tiny flowers and birds. It was beautiful. Eve kept thanking her parents and tried wrapping it in the best way around her neck. The 9 year old seemed really fascinated and was smiling from ear to ear throughout the journey.
"We arrived!" Her father announced happily. "Welcome to...Guliver's Museum! Lets go in then!"
