"There you are,Eve." Her father said, worriedly. "Dont run away all by yourself ever again, you understand?"

"Yes dear..you made us so worried." Her mother sighed. Eve hugged her parents happily, glad to be reunited. When she lifted her face, she was shocked to be facing darkness.

"Mum?! Dad?!" Eve cried. Her parents had disappeared.

Her eyes fluttered open and she realised she was just dreaming. She looked left and right. The gallery was still strangely quiet. Eve stood up and called out hesitantly,no one in particular. About an hour had passed. It was 3 in the afternoon. She arrived here at 11am.

"A-Anyone here? Hello-oo? Anyone ! Someone!" Eve felt like crying. "Anyone.." She had to be brave, like how her father taught her. She walked on,searching carefully for anyone at every floor.

The beautiful paintings of ladies now looked like disturbing women looking and watching her every move. The thousand pair of eyes which lined the museum gallery walls made Eve shiver. She passed by the mirror which she was looking at just hours before and could almost swore she saw her reflection walking the opposite direction. She hurriedly stepped back. No. There was nothing wrong with the mirror.

Eve sighed and continued walking.

"It cant be...there has to be people here! Where are all the security guards and..and cleaners? The counter girl is gone too. Did this place shut down in a second? That is impossible. My parents would be looking for me ! There are no overhead announcements too like when i first got here. No music, nothing! Its too quiet..." Eve thought, cold sweat breaking out as her pace quicken. "I better get out of this place...where's the stairs.." She scrambled down stairs after stairs but she couldnt seem to find the first floor, nor the counter. It was as if she was stuck in a maze.
