Kayla's POV
*******
Ugh, August could not come any sooner. I hate school like any other student, but I know I have to keep with it. I want to be a writer and have my work on the news or in some best selling book.

Well, the first day is usually the easiest. I just won't talk to that many people. Hopefully my locker works. I haven't had time to check it yet. I was with the FBI training all last week. It's tiring but it keeps me occupied.

I looked at my watch. It was 7:10 A.M and school starts at 7:30. I guess I can write something.

A few minutes passed and I was in my own little world of fiction. It's the only place I can control the beginning through to the end.

" Hello! My names Dalton," he popped up from behind me and scared the daylights out of me. He was very enthusiastic for the first day of school. I guess there's one person who doesn't mind school.

" Um... hi, are you looking for someone?" I don't want to talk to anyone.

" Um no... you were alone so I wanted to say hi. I'm sorry if I bothered you," he looked guilty and embarrassed.

" No not at all. I'm just not used to company. My names Kayla," hopefully this wasn't going to become a thing. He seems sweet, but I don't really want friends right now.

He returned to his happy self and pulled out a piece of paper. I think it was his schedule. It was folded multiple times so I didn't know. " Do you know what classes your in? I bet we have at least one together. I have Mrs. Green, Miss Comber, Mrs. Stubbs, Mr. Galloway, Mr. Bates, Miss Oster, and Mr. Biggs. Those are an interesting few names."

I began to search through my bag to find my paper. Turns out we have a couple classes together. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing.

The bell started ringing and everyone swarmed to the hallway. Luckily Dalton and me had our first hour together. At least I won't be the only one being stared down when I walk in. Even after so long I still don't know exactly where everything is.
*****1st hour*****

" Alright we weren't late. I guess my rusty mind still works," Dalton has been pulling jokes every once in a while. I'm glad he has a sense of humor but not too big to be annoying.

" HEY DALTON! OVER HERE!!!" geez, I would like to keep my hearing thank you. I plugged my ears pretty quick.

" Sorry about him, that's my best friend Zach," he said.

"I will definitely stay awake in this class," Dalton chuckled.

Dalton pulled me over to the seat next to him and we got settled in. We talked until the class finally started. For as loud as Zach is he can sure shut up quick.
*****end of school****

Well that was much more fun than I thought it would be. I kind of feel guilty for not having trust in Dalton or Zach. They don't need to know anything about me. If I ever tell them about my life, they will always look at me like I'm scarred. Good thing I can lie.
