Inspect my cheek in the mirror there's already a bruise forming. Flinching as I apply some concealer to disguise the ugly purple splotch.

"Erin it's time for school your gonna be late!" My mother yells from the bottom of the stairs.

" Be right there". Putting the final touches to my face. I grab hold of my grey Jnasport backbag and walk quickly down the stairs. Grabing my keys off the small wooden desk located near the front door I than jump into my VW. Pulling out I drive down the street.

There's a lack of cars which let's my mind wander to last nights events. Dylan and I had gone to dinner at outback yesterday and after he had drove me home. We Had gotten into an argument and at the end he had slapped me. I barely remember what we had been arguing about but it was something to do with texting my friend Damion .

He had accused me of cheating and I had denied. That why I ended up with this bruise on my cheek. But it was My fault I shouldnt have been texting damion. It was during the date. 'I should apologize' I think. I pull into school and see Devon in the distance. I sighed. Well here goes.

I grab hold if Devon's shirt causing him to stop. "what do you want"he sneers. I take a step back. "I'm s-sorry" I try to sound sure but it comes out souring more like a squeak. "yea you should be" and with that he walks away. Shocked i stand there like an idiot till I feel somebody next to me. "Erin you look like you hace seen a ghost". I turn to see my friends plantium blonde hair and dark Brown eyes looking at me confused. I quickly change my expression"no I'm all right Amber" smiling I link my arm through hers and together we walk to homeroom.
