LEXI P.O.V
I sighed as I pushed another tank top into my suitcase. I didn’t want to go. I have to see Rafe over and over again. He was one of the students that contributed to this project as much as I did. I sunk down on the bed and looked at my hands in thought.
“If you don’t want to go Lexi...you don’t have to” Will sat beside me. He had suitcase packed and all ready to go. I had an extra ticket and I decided to bring along Will with me since this project was basically reintroducing Alexandria to the world.
I leaned my head against Will’s shoulder. “I can’t back down……not with Rafe going. I want to show him that he doesn’t affect me anymore” I said in a sigh as I pushed myself off the bed and resumed packing.
Two more days to go.
RAFE P.O.V
I sat in my sister’s bedroom and watched her slowly pack my things. I was too lazy to pack so she had offered. I didn’t turn it down of course. I stared at her but she paid me no attention. She let out a sigh and that’s when I really saw her bloodshot eyes. I pushed off the bed and put my hands on her shoulder. I turned her around to face me and then I drew her into a brotherly embrace. This is my fault.
“This is my fault…..I promise I will fix this” I let out a humourless chuckle. “Lex was right…..All guys are dicks, even Will and I” I sighed and kissed the top of her head as she cried on my shoulder.
I have to fix what I did. All of this was a misunderstanding.
LEXI P.O.V
We had finally arrived the airport. Throughout the bus ride here, I leaned my head on the window and managed to avoid Rafe altogether but I could feel him staring at me through the whole ride.
When the bus came to a stop, l was the first one out. I grabbed my suitcase and made a mad dash towards the counter to check in my suitcase and luggage. I was leaning my elbows on the counter top and waiting for the attendant to give me my seat number and ticket.
‘Te Amo’ by Rihanna blasted through my headphones as I drummed my fingers on the counter to the beat when suddenly I felt something warm and hard press into my back. I let out a soft gasp and curled my fingers in to stop from screaming. I glanced over my shoulder and met his stormy grey eyes.
“Rafe….let go” I said in a whisper. He reached up and pushed the headphones down from my head and ears and looked at the lady behind the desk.
“Please book another seat beside her…I was a little late in checking in and so my girlfriend didn’t bother to mention me” He spoke confidently that removed the expression of doubt from the attendant’s face.
The plump lady behind the desk asked for his baggage and passport before I could protest. I turned around swiftly and glared at him.
But he gave me a fucking smirk!
“You can’t do anything here Lex….This place has security and Mr. Morrison is right here. He called a truce between us remember?” He leaned in and placed a small kiss on my shoulder before the lady gave him his passport and ticket. She handed me mine also
“What an adorable couple” She said with a smile. I managed to smile back without cringing. It was the nice thing to do.
Well there goes my plan to relax and be in peace.
RAFE P.O.V
I smirked as I saw Lex going through the door. She looked at her ticket and then began to look for the seat. I followed her and when she had found our section, she tried to scoot in to the window seat. I wanted to lighten the mood.
