The sound of calm waves slapping against the shore woke me up. Opening my eyes I see that I'm on a beach. 'What happened to me?' Looking around I didn't see Katara, Sokka, Aang, or Appa. 'Oh god oh god oh god where is everyone?'

"Guys?! Hello?!" Hearing no response I went to brush myself off, stopping when I felt a silky loose fabric. Looking at the dress I see it's a beautiful blue that mimics the waves when grazed by the wind with a white trim. Long sleeved but flowy from the elbows down, the bottom reaching well past my feet trailing slightly behind me.

"Hello young Kaia." Whipping around to the source of the voice, I see a woman with the most stunning baby blue eyes. Adorned in a similar white dress.

"Who are you?" The regal woman in front of me drops her eyes and the corners of her mouth perk up at my question.

"I'm you in your past life." She spoke with a feather light tone, somewhat amused.

"You're my who now? Where am I? Why am I in this dress? And do I get to keep it?" Curious but also hopeful I get to keep this gorgeous clothing.

"They are quite comfortable aren't they? My name is Aella. And you my young bender, are in the Spirit World. But your friends need you to wake up. I will see you again soon."

Aella touched the side of my temples and the world around me faded into nothing.

"Kaia! You're awake!" Tackled into a hug, my sister started ranting about what happened.

"When Aang came out the Avatar state we heard you fall and you looked like you hit your head pretty hard. Are you okay?" Zoned out, the only thing occupying my mind was that woman, Aella.

"What? Oh yeah I'm find, a little tender though. Where are we?" Finally getting a chance to see my surroundings I see that we're on a beach. 'The same one from my dream. Damn, I don't have the dress anymore.' Realizing that I'm back in my water tribe clothes makes me pout, picking at the seams on my sleeve.

"We're at the Southern Air Temple." Picking up on the oh so annoying sound of Sokkas snoring, we see Aang practically bouncing out of his shoes. But watching Aang poke and skim my brothers sleeping bag telling him there's a prickle snake causes a small bubble of laughter from me. Hearing the sound he whips his head around and lands his sight on an amused Katara and I.

"Kaia! You're awake!" He runs away from Sokkas grumbling self and charges himself at me. Caught in a lung damaging hug and starts rambling words I can't even hear.

A-Aang, I need t..to bre...breat...BREATHE!" I could barely wheeze out the words, that's how tight the hug was. He stepped away immediately rubbing the back of his neck with a bashful smile. Laughing at his adorable self I took him back into my arms with a softer hug.

"Come on we got a temple to see!" Dragging me up to Appas head, Aang starts to fuss over me and asking if I need anything.

"Aang I'm okay, stop worrying and let's go see your home."

Didn't have to tell him twice. As soon as everyone was on board Aang snapped reigns as he called out to Appa.

"Yip yip buddy! We're going home."

On the ride there Aang was telling me about all the games he used to play with his friends back home. He also told me about the connection between him and Appa.

"All airbenders got a flying animal companion. I remember when I'm met Appa. The monks called us up to the southern terrace where we waited for the newest bison pups to arrive. I just remember that we were all so excited when they flew down to us. I looked at each one and didn't feel anything. But when baby Appa flew in with his tongue hanging out and was just staring at me. I knew, I knew we would be best friends." Aang laid down on Appas head trying to give him a mix between a cuddle and petting the large bison. Hearing me coo at his actions, he sat back up in his previous position.
