Kaia's POV:
I was resting over the side of the saddle with my sister admiring how soft and fluffy the clouds right below us looked.
"Those clouds look so soft, don't they? Like you could just jump down and you'd land in a big, soft cottony heap." She feathered out.
"Yeah, imagine just grabbing a cloud and turning it into your own spirit given bed. I wonder how good that would feel." I said in a similar tone, daydreaming of what my life would look like stress free on the worlds softest bed.
"Maybe you guys should give it a try." Sokka snickered to himself.
"Yeah maybe you just jump off and see what happens." Rize put in too, resulting in matching glares from Katara and I.
"Hilarious." Katara dulled. The boys just laugh together and slyly fist bumped. I rolled my eyes at the twinning idiots.
'Boys.' I scoffed to myself.
"I'll try it! Yeaahhhhh!!!"
I couldn't even process what just happened until everyone's favorite Avatar dropped in, soaking wet by the way, with a stupid grin on his face.
"Turns out clouds are just made out of water!" He said then continuing to air bend to dry himself off. Out of frustration I stormed over to him and shook the idiocy out of him.
"Are you crazy?! You can't just jump off of Appa anytime you want! I swear to the spirits if you don't end up killing yourself, I will, if you keep pulling these stunts. You're gonna hurt yourself one day!" I desperately growl to his taken aback face that now rests in my palms. He looks at me with innocent eyes that are filling with shame. Seeing his face I huff and look down, feeling ashamed myself.
"Look I don't mean to yell, I just don't want you hurting yourself when you do things like this. I'm just looking out for you." I spoke gently and pulled him into a hug. He stands there for a few seconds to register what I said and then hugs me back.
"I'm sorry I wasn't thinking, I'll be more careful next time." He whispered in my ear. A cough resonated behind us and drew our attention away from our burning faces. We saw Katara sewing something and just barely smiling, Sokka was on Appas head driving and not even paying attention to us, and then Rize had a sarcastic smirk on his face. I'm gonna put my money on him interrupting this awkward moment.
"Sorry lovebirds but your PDA was getting a little too overwhelming for us to bare." He joked out. I rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out to him playfully.
I pulled away from a semi annoyed Aang and went to go sit in the back of the saddle with Ara. She went and jumped into my lap, belly up. I cooed at her mannerisms and gave her scratches on her favorite spot, causing happy squeaks to come out. I heard a huff and saw Sokka pick up poor Momo and stuck a finger in the lemurs face.
"Why don't you ask for scratches like that?! We just wanna love you sometimes but noooo you're all Mr. Touch Me and I Bite over here." He whined out to the dangling animal. I whispered to Ara to go up and pounce to release Momo. Mainly because I enjoy terrorizing my brother, but a small part of me knew that Ara wanted to cuddle up again with her mate.
"Sokka, just face the facts that no animal is gonna love you. It's a good thing animals can sense danger. Hmm I wonder if humans have that skill too since I always see women fleeing from you. Butttt that may be because of your lack of deodorant." I said casually, but then pinching my nose at my comment on his very real stink. He was about to say something before Katara cut him off.
