MY FANTASY SHORE

"Why can't we just stay at home?"
We crossed the tall buildings,
The area covered with trees and bushes,
And at the end of the grey, concrete road,
There was a wooden cabin.
While father remained inside,
Me and my mother went for a neighbourhood stroll,
I stepped down from the creaky wooden stairs,
But as soon as i looked towards the east,
I was mesmerised, my mind stopped functioning.
I saw the ocean, glimmering under the sunlight,
The glittery repulsions as far as my eyes could see,
I walked past the shrubs, the daisies,
I felt my feet dipping in the warm sand,
The mellow sunlight pouring down on me,
The waves approaching towards me,
But as soon as i ran towards it,
My father's taunt woke me from my dream.

I go back to my fantasy shore quite often,
Although it was just a dream,
I felt more alive than ever.
