The rain was almost blinding that day,
We were walking under the same umberella,
I was dressed in mellow orange and you were wearing white,
I rested my head on your shoulders,
You encircled my waist with your hands,
There was that consoling lopsided smile of yours on your pretty face,
The only intimacy we shared was of kind friendship,
And i wished in my heart if we could stay like this for ever,
With you close to me, like that, till the end of time.
The gray lake beside us made loud noises of the raindrops falling into it,
The shabby house was looking majestic that day,
With the pine trees in front of it in a line,
Everything looked lovely against the drab landscape,
We were walking along the muddy passage,
By the time we reached the end of it,you let go of me,
You ran inside the house, enduring the merciless rain,
Because you knew the umberella was not large enough for two people,
I smiled, with love, and walked away.
Now everytime i close my eyes,
I am waiting under the umberella,
But there's no you,
But i know you will come back again someday,
And so i will keep dreaming,
Until i meet you again love.
