~Phase #1~

(Y/N) POV~

We soon arrived at the first phase of the hunter exam. We each got a number badge for is to put on and keep. My number was 406 while Gon number was 405, Kurapika was number 404, and Ore- I mean Leorio was number 403. A guy named Tonpa came up to us and warned us about Hisoka. Apparently Hisoka was disqualified from the hunter exam last year for killing an examiner. After a brief warning about Hisoka, Tonpa offered us a can of juice for our "friendship".

As soon as i opened the can of juice Tonpa gave me I knew it was poisoned. I was immune to poison so i just drank it. I saw a smirk on Tonpa's face so i smiled back. Little did he know I'll be the one smirking soon.

"Tonpa this juice is expired. It tastes wierd." Gon said with a questioning face.

"PFFT. WHAT?!?!?" Leorio said he spits out the juice. Kurapika poured his juice out and saw me drinking the juice.

"Hey (y/n) I don't think you should be drinking that. Gon said that it tasted funny and it might be expired." Kurapika said with a worried face.

"Oh no it's fine. This juice is actually poisoned but I'm immune so don't worry!" I said with a reassuring smiling.

"Alright then. If you say so." Kurapika replied.

The examiner came and apologized for being late. He introduced himself as Satoz-san. He said that if we wanted to pass the first phase we would have to follow him. It was pretty easy. But he started going faster and faster. Me and Gon ran ahead of Kurapika and Leorio.

"Hey! Thats cheating!" I heard Leorio yelled to a kid with silver hair riding a skateboard

"No its not Leorio. Satoz-san only ever said to follow him." Gon replied

"Whos side are you on huh?" Leorio yelled in rage.

"Nobody's side." Gon said with a smile.

After a few minutes I heard some noises behind so I turned around to see Leorio panting hard.

"I *pant* will *pant* become *pant* a *pant* HUNTER!!!" Leorio yelled as he took of his shirt only leaving his tie and pants left.

Kurapika and Leorio started to run ahead of us which is fine by me.

"See you guys at the finish line!" Kurapika said back at me and Gon with a smile.

"See you soon!" I said to Kurapika.

Gon noticed that Leorio left his briefcase so Gon did some cool trick with his fishing rod and grabbed Leorio's briefcase with insane accuracy.

"Woah that was cool!" I said to Gon with an amazed face.

"Thank you (y/n)-chan!" Gon said with a smile which is so kawaii that I can squeeze him with a tight hug but decided not to.

"Hey what are you're guys' name and how old are you?" the kid with silver hair asked us as he was approaching me and Gon.

"My name is Gon and I'm 12 years old!" Gon said with a smile.

"My name is (y/n) and I'm 14 years old." you said to the boy with silver hair. "What about you?" I asked.

"I'm Killua and I'm the same age as Gon." " Well i guess I can run with you guys." he said as he did a cool flip with his skateboard.

"Wow that was cool Killua! Can I try your skateboard later?!" Gon said amazed at Killua's skateboard trick.

"Sure, only if I can try your fishing rod." Killua said to Gon.

"Ok!!" Gon said with another kawaii smile. This time it was so hard to resist so i gave in and hugged him which surprised Gon.

"Why are you always so adorable when you smile Gon!!" I said as i squeezed him in a tight hug.

Gon hugged me back.

"Thank you (y/n)-chan." Gon said as I release him from my tight hug.

We continued to run for hours! But I had trained with Bisky to increase my stamina level so I was ok. It was just... BORINGGG!!

~Mini Time Skip Brought To You By Kawaii smiling Gon~

        When we saw the light again Killua suggested a race to see who would win. The loser had to buy dinner for the winner. Me and Gon gladly accepted then the three of us dashed off up the stairs, nearing the light each step. We soon ran past Kurapika and Leorio whom we didn't notice because we were too focused to being the winner.

"GOALL!!" Me, Killua, and Gon yelled at the same time.

"I won!" Killua said

"No i won!" Gon said back to him

"Guys stop fighting. Satoz-san, who made it up first?" I asked the examiner who was behind us when we raced to the top.

"I think you three made it to the top at the same time" the examiner said.

Killua and Gon groaned as they look at the ground.

"Hey cheer up! How about I buy you guys dinner?" I said with a smile on my face.

Killua and Gon face lit up as i said that.

"Really?!?!? Thank you (y/n)-chan!" Gon said as he ran up to me and gave me a tight hug.

"Haha you're welcome! I feel like you're my little brother now!" I said as i hug Gon back. He started to rub our cheeks together which made me smile even bigger.

"Yeah thank you (y/n)." Killua said as he gave me a smile.

'Killua smile at me for the first time' I said in my head shocked but I calmly gave him a smile back.

Not long after Kurapika and Leorio came to the finish line with some other people trying out the hunter exam. We all chatted together for a bit before a man came out of no where claiming that the Satoz-san that was standing in front of us is fake. He pulled out a dead body that looked exactly like Satoz-san.

The clown looking perso- i mean Hisoka (welp sorry Hisoka >.<) threw 3 cards at the "real" examiner and 3 at Satoz-san. Satoz-san caught those card while the other guy died.

Satoz-san explained to us that the other guy was supposed to fool some of the people and make them fail the exam. Satoz-san warned Hisoka to not do that again or he would be disqualified. Hisoka just smiled at Satoz-san. Not the friendly smile. The creepy smile. I got chills down my spine as Hisoka smirk at everyone.

Satoz-san said to keep following him as he lead us into the Milsy Wetlands. A swamp filled with deadly man-eating animals.
