~Phase #2~

~Time skip to the second phase of the exam~

We arrived at the second phase of the exam after running through that swamp for hours. In the second phase we had to cook a dish for the examiners. They introduced themselves as as Buhara and Menchi. We had to cook them a meal using pork. Long story short, everyone failed except for me. Menchi was very picky when it comes to foods. I was shocked that I was the only that pass but I still couldn't accept that. As I was going to refuse me being the only one that passed, an old man came down from an airship and had us redo the second phase.

We had to boil an egg from the webs of a Spider Eagle. We had to jump down from a great height, cling onto the spider web and wait until there was an air draft (is that what it was called?) to blow us back up. Menchi demonstrated how to get the egg and an idiot jumped right after Menchi had gotten up. She tried to stop him but he didn't listen to her explanation. He fell to his death not knowing that there aren't always an air draft. You had to time it perfectly so you don't fall to your death.

I was terrified of heights so I got nervous and started sweating and trembling. I was next in turn to jump down with Gon, Kurapika, Leorio, and Killua. Kurapika had noticed that I was trembling like crazy.

"Hey don't worry (y/n). I'll hold your hand so don't be afraid." He said with a reassuring smile. That helped me calm down a bit so I stopped trembling as I took a deep breath.

"Thank you Kurapika! I think I'm ready now!" I said and we all jumped down.

We all got our eggs and boiled them. The eggs were delicious!!!! They were the best eggs I've ever tasted in my life! After that we went back onto the airship to go to the third phase of the exam. We got off the airship onto a tower called 'Trick Tower'. We were told to get to the bottom of the tower within 72 hours. One of the applicant tried to climb down the tower because he was good at rock climbing. Lets just say, it didn't end well for him. A massive bird came and swooped him off the tower into his mouth. So climbing down wasn't an option.

After searching around for a trap door or something that might lead us inside the tower, Gon found exactly what I thought was the way down the tower. Gon found 5 trapdoors that opens. He saw one of the applicants falling down into the tower from one of the trapdoors so he tried to open it again. The trapdoor is a one time use only.

We all stood near the trapdoor, said our goodbye and stepped on the trapdoor.

I feel down and landed on something soft. I opened my eyes to see Kurapika under me. I quickly stood up and helped him up with a blushed face. Kurapika also had a blushed face. Turns out we all ended up together again.

"Welcome. Please put on these watches and wait for one more person for you to continue." An announcer said to us. We did as he said. We waited for another person to come down. Luckily it didn't take long until someone else went down. Unfortunately it was Tonpa.

We had to choose between X or O to open up a door in order for us to continue. Of course Tonpa had picked the opposite option probably in an attempt to make us take up more time but we all picked the other door so it opened.

We ended up in a room with a platform in the middle and a platform to walk into the middle. We were in a tunnel looking thing while there were prisoners on the other side. We had to get 4 wins to continue to the next test for phase 3.

Tonpa volunteer to go first. He was against a guy named Bendot. He seems strong so Tonpa doesn't have a chance to beat that guy. Tonpa gave up immediately when the match started which is good because Bendot wouldn't just kill him right away, he would torture Tonpa to death. The prisoners are now in the lead with 1-0.

Next it was my turn and I was up against a guy twice my size. I widen my eyes as I immediately recognize him... "Yo-you're..."
