[ Chapter 15 - Sports Fest ]

The day before Sports Fest passed by in a hurry. 

Tony and I were down on the gym the whole day. He was such a strict mentor, I made a mental note never to make him train me again. 

Ace became very busy that day too but he never forgets to message me good morning and goodnight.

Since I was in the gym all day, I was not able to see him. It was just one day but I felt like  I haven't seen him in a long time. 

I never really saw myself as someone clingy so the thought that I was missing him made me cringe a little. 

"Anne, your up," Tony was there to support me. 

The opening speech made by the School Principle had just ended and Sports Fest 2003 has officially begun. The category of Martial Arts was the first in the program. I was so thankful that Aikido and Taekwondo were not held at the same time which means that Tony was going to be here to coach me the whole time. 

 I felt so pressured due to the crowd, even more, when I found Ace looking at me intently. 

I had not mentioned to him that I was going to be playing for Taekwando and just like Tony and Anne, I never mentioned to him that I knew how it works. He looked at me with both concern and amusement. 

I bet he wanted to come up to me at the moment but he couldn't. 

"Don't use your hand to attack," Tony warned me for the hundredth time. 

While he was teaching me yesterday, I came to realize that Karate and Taekwondo were not as close as I thought it was. 

I'm not really used to using my legs for attacks, every time I tried to kick, I lose balance. It was pathetic, I doubt I would win against Abigail but I wasn't going to give up without a bite. 

If she ends up making a foul move, I too would play the same game. 

Luckily, she was not my first opponent. My first opponent was Ginny from Zeta.

I was so pressured when the match started but as it continued I started to feel more comfortable. Tony was not shouting from the stand, but I could hear his words replay in my head. 

Don't use your hands. 

Block it.

Keep a safe distance and always taunt. 

The match ended in a flash, I was able to win which means I would have to face Abigail. 

Matches were decided using a ballot. All the games and events on Sports Fest were not round-robin, it was all single elimination. 

It was sometimes a game of luck as well. If you face off with a tough opponent during your first match and loses, you would only be able to fight for third place at most.
