"Are you even updated that I am Charma? Not some superhero or whatever."

Kinalabog ko ang lamesa ni Mister Guevada pagkapasok ko sa office niya. Dumiretso ako dito pagkabasa ko ng mission ko.

He chuckled, "Of course, I'm the one who appointed you that." sabi niya.

"Hindi ko kayang tanggapin 'tong mission na 'to, sorry but I think it's corny." tinanggal ko ang 'magical' watch ko at nilapag sa table niya. I turned around, preparing to leave.

"Baka nakakalimutan mo kung bakit ikaw ang Charma ngayon?" lumingon ako at nakita ko siyang nakangisi sa akin.

Pinikit ko ng mariin ang mata ko as I remembered why am I in this position. Bumuntong-hininga ako bago kinuhang muli ang relo.

Ngumisi siya ulit, "Good girl."

Tumayo siya sa swivel chair niya at pumunta sa parang mini library na hanay dito sa office. May kinuha siyang libro roon at pinatong sa table.

A hologram appeared as soon as he opened the book.

I forgot to mention that these books are abnormal--- I mean far from normal. They have this magic stuff or whatsoever.

"Cupid's been wandering like a lost evil child."

"Oh, like my sister." pagsingit ko.

"Shut up, you don't have any." he rolled his eyes. "Stop watching Cinderella, young lady." dagdag pa niya.

I stared at him. Mister Guevada isn't something you're imagining. In fact, gwapo siya at hindi matandang hukluban. He have these pointed nose, dark yet calm eyes, thick eyebrows, and thin pinkish lips.

I don't know his age since it's forbidden to know personal information about them.

"Hey what are you staring at?" tanong niya at umiwas ng tingin.

"Wala, ang pangit mo kasi." I teased.

He rolled his eyes, "As I was saying, hey! Are you listening?" tanong niya.

Nagpangalumbaba ako sa table niya at tiningnan lang siya. He already got that I am not listening.

"Ugh." napahawak siya sa sentido niya at hinilot 'yon.

I said no words and remained silent.

"Okay, okay! We're going to watch some movie. Who cares about that cupid, anyway? It can be done tomorrow." sabi niya habang nakataas pa ang dalawang kamay.

Nag-smile ako bago pinitik ang daliri ko, "That's right!" tumayo ako at umupo sa chesterfield sofa sa office niya.

He turned on the TV and sat beside me pero bago pa kami makapili ng movie ay may tumawag sa kaniya.

He looked at me before answering the call. Kumuha ako ng chips sa coffee table at kumain n'on habang hinihintay siya.

"Sorry, Charma, but we need to finish this mission habang hindi pa nakakapagkalat ng lagim si Cupid." he touched the back of his head.

"You sounded old." I commented.

Alam kong ang headmaster ang tumawag sa kanya kaya hindi na ako nagreklamo.
