Lincoln shown above

Murphy held up his knife in defence and scarpered away from what I guessed was his lunch.

"Please, I'm not a threat, I'll cut enough for me and then leave I swear." He pleaded, his arm trembling.

I suddenly realised why he was afraid and tore the mask away from my face, revealing my true identity.

"Hey hey, Murphy it's me, its Quinn." I said quickly, re-sheathing my sword and holding my hands out in front of me. "I'm not going to hurt you, it's me."

"Quinn?" he asked cautiously. I could understand why he was nervous, the last time he saw me I was still part of the 100.

"Yeah, it's me Murphy, I'm here" my eyes began to water as I saw him lower his defences; I thought I'd never see him again.

Without warning, he sprang from his sitting position in the dirt and launched himself into my arms. He shook violently as he sobbed into the fur on my shoulder. I held him tightly and buried my nose into his hair. He had changed since I had last seen him. He was skinnier and his hair had grown, he also had the smallest bit of stubble dancing across his chin. He smelt like woods and sweat but what did I expect, he had been out here alone for months.

I explained to him how I found out about his banishment and why I left the 100 but our conversation was cut short when I heard the deep voice of Fio, one of the warriors I train with back at camp, calling for me through the woods.

"You need to go Murphy, if he sees you he'll kill you." I said hurriedly, trying to convince him to leave.

He stood silent in front of me but then nodded and hugged me one last time before running away into the shrubbery, leaving me clueless as to when or if I'll ever see him again.

Seconds later, Fio emerged from the opposite side of the trees and told me that Anya ordered me to visit Lincoln as her second had fallen ill and she was in need of the cure that he owned. I nodded and the large grounder looked behind me to see the large boar that Murphy had caught to eat.

"Good kill, sky girl." Fio admired, before marching past me and throwing the boar over his shoulder and making his way home. Fio had respect for me in battle, but still refused to call me one of his own, it didn't bother me too much as I knew that Lexa and Anya trusted me and that's all that mattered. My only worry now was that Murphy could find another source of food and that he stays alive for as long as he can until I can see him again.

When I reached Lincoln's cave I followed the tunnels until I found the main part of his home. It was silent, all I could hear was the rain water dripping and echoing throughout the tomb that he called home. As I krept around his home I heard quiet crying coming from the left side of the room. I glanced around until I saw the small figure of a dark haired girl curled up on the floor. She was trembling so it was obvious that she was scared and cold.

Lincoln had never liked keeping prisoners, so why now? What changed? The girl must've heard my footsteps on the cave floor because her head snapped towards me, and she backed up against the wall that she was shackled to.

My jaw dropped and my eyes widened when I saw the face of the girl. It was no one other than Octavia Blake. Her hair was sticking to her face from the moisture down here and her sweat but I could easily recognise her features and bright eyes.

She pressed her back against the wall in fear. I desperately wanted to warn her that it was me but I couldn't give my identity away. Instead I moved away from her with my hands in front of me, to show that I wasn't a threat.
