Jasper Jordan shown above.

"Hey, you know what I'd like to know? Why send us down today after ninety seven years? What changed?" Finn questioned, still leading the group.

"Who cares? I'm just glad they did. I woke up rotting in a cell, and now I'm spinning in a forest." Octavia says, spinning around a tree trunk, a disappointed look on her face when she doesn't catch Finns attention.

I hear Clarke sigh. "The Ark is dying." she said. We all stopped walking for a second but then continued as the storey got picked back up.

"At the current population level, there's roughly three months left of life support, maybe four now that we're gone." She finishes.

"So that was the secret they locked you up to keep, why they kept you in solitary, floated your old man?" Finn asks.

"My father was the engineer who discovered the flaw. He thought the people had a right to know. The Council disagreed. My mother disagreed. They were afraid it would cause a panic. We were going to go public, anyway, when Wells..."

"What, turned in your dad?" I finished for her, my voice quiet. She sadly nodded then cleared her throat.

"Anyway, the guard showed up before we could. That's why today. That's why it was worth the risk. Even if we all die, at least they bought themselves more time." she stated, as if it were nothing.

"They're going to kill more people, aren't they?" Monty asked, his face turning pale.

Clarke opened her mouth to answer, but was cut off by Octavia.

"Good. After what they did to me, I say, float them all." she says angrily, before storming away from us.

"You don't mean that." Jasper said, seemingly disappointed by her response. I can't say I blame her though. I mean, I can't even imagine being forced to live under the floor for 16 years.

"We have to warn them." Finn said, intently staring at Clarke.

"That's what my father said." She stated, admiring his words.

"Oh, damn, I love Earth." we heard Jasper say, completely randomly. He was staring off into the distance, a crooked smile on his face and a glint in his eye.

We all look over to see Octavia stood in her underwear on top of a small cliff. Bellamy wouldn't like this.

Without a warning, she jumps from the ledge and we hear her land in water. We all scramble to the cliff edge to make sure she was okay. In the water, we could see the top of her head and eyes, but nothing more.

"Octavia, what the hell are you doing?" Clarke shouts.

"Octavia, we can't swim!" Monty shouts, trying to encourage her to get out of the water.

"I know, but we can stand." Octavia giggles, now standing at her full height, the water only coming to just above her waist.

"Wait. There's not supposed to be a river here." Clarke says, frantically looking from the map to the water.

"Well, there is. So take off your damn clothes." I hear Finn say, smirking, shrugging his jacket off.

Violent splashing from behind Octavia causes us all to look up. A huge snake-like creature was swimming, abnormally quickly might I add, straight towards her.

"Oh shit... Octavia, get the hell out of the water now!" I shout trying to get her attention. I pull my jacket off and run to the side of the lake, where Jasper was.

"Octavia!" Jasper shouts, just as she screams and is pulled underwater by the monster.

"What the hell is that? We have to help her. What are we going to do?" I hear Monty panic from the other side of the water.
