Chapter 13 Part 2

"You do realise you guys have finals next month, right?" Takeda asked, hiding behind his glasses feeling a bit concerned about the volleyball team.

Next to the sensei, you could see your brother quiver in fear, a look of horror on his face as those words Brought back old terrible memories of being a student. One thing that all students dreaded would be none other than examinations.

"Right?" Takeda emphasises as he stared at Hinata, Kageyama, nishinoya and Tanaka who completely avoided their sensei's eyes.

"So I think you know what I'm getting at, but if you fail any subjects..." The four boys began to tremble as they heard their sensei relay the same message their vice principal said.

You pitied all your friends. If they failed any of their subjects, they wouldn't be allowed to come to Tokyo, since supplementary classes will be held that weekend. Tanaka and Nishinoya began to run for their lives believing they could escape their fate.

"Hey! You can't run from your problems! Ennoshita, catch them!" Daichi yelled at the retreating pair who had been stopped by the tall second year.

Meanwhile, Hinata was practically in tears as he mumbled to himself. "I'm going to fail...fail...what counts as a failing grade again?"

"Hinata you'll be okay." You told the orange-haired child with a shocked look on your face, not believing his words. Out of all things he could say you didn't think he'd say something like that.

On the other hand, Kageyama was in complete shock, he looked like he had seen a ghost. "He's not breathing." You were really starting to worry about your friends, they genuinely were terrified about next month's exams.

"Since we said we're going to continue with club activities, we at least need decent grades," Suga commented with a pitiful look on his face.

Tsukishima being the dick he was, he smirked at nishinoya and Tanaka. "You shouldn't fail if you've done this before."

"Maybe if we beg..." Hinata desperately asked Takeda.

"Why don't you actually study, that's an idea." Tsukishima taunted Hinata.

"Hinata don't listen to dumbass over here, you'll be okay."

Tsukishima glared at you, not really liking you putting him down.

Takeda gave Hinata one final sigh, really wanting to be able to help the juniors. "The chances of getting the vice principal's permission is very slim. Even then if you have to take supplementary classes they become a priority."

You winced at Hinata's horrified face once more as his dream of going to Tokyo just shattered. You felt sorry for the small middle blocker, knowing how much he was looking forward to going to Tokyo. You got even more worried when he approached your brother for help.

You shook your head knowing asking your brother for help was pretty useless in terms of studies, considering Keishin wasn't really the brightest person, to begin with. You patted Hinata on the head reassuringly when he collapsed after hearing your brother's words.

Suga being the kind-hearted mother he was, he brought Hinata a hug, a gentle smile on his face. "Hinata you have nothing to worry about."

"I've never really had a double-digit on a test before. Will I still be okay?" Hinata said with hope in his eyes.

"What did you say?" You and Suga said in unison not sure if Hinata was being serious or not.

At this point, Hinata was beyond help. You stood next to Hinata and wrapped him in a hug before Tsukishima stopped you. He stood in front of you so you couldn't hug Hinata. You decided not to fight against it.
