Tracy Sterling

The way Scott looks at me makes me feel so uneasy and uncomfortable. Sweat is continuously dripping from my forehead. I looked at him and saw his eyes locked into mine so I decided to look down again. This is more awkward than I thought. I don't know why but I can't even look at him directly right now. I know that he's quite pissed at me for a reason. And I don't even know what that reason was. But I'm sure I'm in trouble. Big trouble, indeed. Oh Tracy, what have you done this time.

"Why do you even care? For the record, I'm completely done with my task for the day as your nanny. So I can go wherever I want after school" I complained then I heard a sigh from his voice.

"That's not my fucking point, Tracy. You made me wait for two hours" Once again, I looked at him and saw blazing anger in his eyes. What is he talking about?

"What do you mean?" I asked him. I tried to calm myself for a while. I guess, fighting fire with fire is futile because this conversation won't lead us anywhere if I'm not going to keep myself calm.

"I've been waiting impatiently in the fucking parking lot for hours but you never came" He stated.

"Watch your language, young man" Uncle Steve interrupted him. Oh I just remember, number one house rule - no foul language allowed inside this comfort zone. So as much as I wanted to curse or say something really bad, I need to learn how to keep it to myself. Or at least whisper.

"What is going on?" He added out of his confusion. He is patiently waiting for a response from either one of us.

"It's nothing serious, uncle Steve" I answered. But he seems unconvinced.

"Stop meddling in our affairs, dad" He commanded.

"I have my rights to meddle, Scott. I'm your father" he said.

"A father? You don't give a damn about me, dad. You only care about your money and your fucking business" Scott complained and he started to walk away. I've never seen Scott acted like this way before. Well I am aware of his mean attitude but I never expected him to treat his father that way.

"Were not done talking, Scott" he tried to stop him from walking away.

"Aren't we? I don't think so" he said then headed upstairs. I tried to act normal and pretend that I didn't hear anything. I'm not the kind of person who loves to hear rumors or gossips. Our minds are like computer memory so we need to be cautious about the false information. I went to my room and headed to my soft, comfortable bed.

I took a deep breath to loosen up. I looked at my phone and saw a message from an unknown number.

From: Unknown Number

"Parking lot. Now"

It must've been Scott. Geez, am I really that stupid? Why didn't I bother to look at my phone? I'm in trouble. I really want to read a book right now but my mind is overloaded with different thoughts. I can't contain it anymore. I should stop obtruding in their family affairs. I have no rights.

Why am I feeling this way? I feel bad for him. After all he is really arrogant and mean.

I probably should talk to him. I knocked on his door and after few seconds he opened it.

"What are you doing here?" he looked at me.

"Can we talk?" I asked him.

"Look, if this is about what happened earlier just forget it" Scott added.

"Yeah, because I don't have the right to obtrude with your life. I get it, okay? The thing is I just want to apologize for making you wait. I'm so stupid" I answered.

"Don't even mention it" he said.

"I'm really sorry" I said apologetically. First of all, I didn't mean to make him wait. I didn't even know he was waiting for me in the first place.

"Forget it" he said, without showing interest nor paying attention to what I'm saying. He went to his door.

"Are you going somewhere?" I asked him.

"Obviously, yes. So is there anything else you want to tell me?" he asked.

I tilted my head in response.

"I need to go" He added and left me hanging in his room.

Scott Greene

I drove my car to the nearest bar. My friends must be waiting for me. This has been a rough day. I just hate it when my parents are obtruding with my life. It's not that I hate them or whatsoever but I just hate being meddled. I don't need anyone to control my life. As I entered the bar, I can feel their eyes looking at me. I'm used to the attention they're giving me every time.

"Hey Scott" Harris greeted me with a high five.

"Hey" I said.

My eyes turned to Austin and saw him smiling while checking on his messages. He must've found a new flavor of the month. As far as I know him, he doesn't take girls seriously.

"Who's the new girl?" I asked him abruptly.

"It's someone we both know" he smirked.

"Our friend here has been into some real shit, he's been acting like that since he met Tracy"

"You mean, my nanny?" I emphasized the word nanny. You got to be kidding me! I said to myself.

"Yeah, I guess there's nothing wrong with it since you are not in a real relationship based on what she told me" He explained. Of course, there's nothing wrong with it. The only thing is, she's my fucking nanny.

"You talked to her?" I asked.

"We met last time, I asked her out" He added then smiled.

"Do you like her?" I asked Austin abruptly and he looked directly at me.

Knowing him, he is not going to take her seriously.

"Well, its not really impossible for me to like her" His lips formed into a smirk. I don't even know why but I'm starting to feel pissed about what he just told me. Why would I even care?
