(i know, i did two things. i skipped p2 of the last one AND i did two mebby's in a row on the open one shot page. BUTTTTTTT i felt bad for not replying to someone for a while so here it is. my at's aren't working but you know who you are 😁)

the bytehouse was having their weekly live but this time they were going to introduce the house dog, byte. everyone loved the big and loving dog, except for shauni. she voted on getting a cat so she was obviously pissed when they came back with a giant golden puppy. nonetheless, she tried her best to like the dog.

"the live starts in two minutes, let's get in here.", manager lucy called from the living room.

by the time, sebb and monty were down from the rooms everyone was there. jake wasn't, though, he was picking up groceries and wouldn't be back in time.

"okay, gang, i'll leave. do your thing.", manager lucy announced as she left. it was unclear if she left the house or left the room but she left.

"hey guys, bytesquad here! we have a very special announcement!", kt smiled.

the comments filled with fan's suspicions. after a few seconds of laughing at the stupid ones, sebb addressed it.

"we got a dog! their name is byte."

"we don't actually know their gender but you know. it's cool.", monty laughed.

byte jumped on to lily's lap as the comment section swooned for the cute little dog. monty left the room to go to the bathroom. halfway through, byte burst in and lily was following the dog with the camera. if he was lucky, he didn't flash his young audience but his scream was so loud.

his throat was hurting the entire day and didn't talk to the other members much. it wasn't until sebb walked in their shared bedroom and demanded the monty come with him to the doctor's.

naturally, monty was sure he was fine but went to ease his boyfriend's nerves. it was pretty late so, no one was really in the waiting room.

"monty keates and family."

they only said family because monty was legally a minor and they'd have to call his parents to come down. but it wasn't that big of a deal so, sebb was his husband. on his license, he was 20 and they couldn't make them bring the marriage papers.

monty sat in the patient chair and sebb squeezed his hand. the older woman came back and smiled at them.

"hi, what seems to be the problem?"

"yes, his throat has been hurting and i just wanted to make sure he was ok."

"sorry but what is your relation to the patient?"

"husband."

"oh sorry. i thought you were friends or something. it's 2020 i'm just so dumb—"

"it really is fine, ma'am, but we need to get home."

"yes, yes, so sorry."

she took a stick and pressed it to the back of his throat. she tried not to show she was alarmed that the young boy didn't have a gag reflex but it was pretty obvious.

"oh my, this is much worse than i thought.", she said, typing something into the computer.

"what? what is it?", sebb asked. he started digging his nails into monty's skin but monty pushed him off.

"it appears he has a cut in his higher esophagus. any later and he could suffer severe damage. thank you for bringing him in."

she left the room and sebb stuck his tongue out at monty.

"told you."

"told you.", monty mimicked.

she came back in with a needle that went all the way into monty's throat.

"okay, you won't be able to eat for a while and you shouldn't talk much. come back in a week."

"alrighty.", monty hopped up and left the room.

sebb tried to follow but the older doctor grabbed his wrist.

"i know you aren't married."

"what? you just said this is 2020–"

"neither of you are wearing rings, not to mention how young you are. but he's a cute one, you should marry him someday."

"he is a cute one, innit?", sebb smiled.
