i believe in soulmates
but i don't believe that once you meet them,
you know.
i believe in friend soulmates
and pet soulmates,
and i believe in romantic soulmates.
i believe that before you are born your soul is ripped into as many parts
as need be,
and they are placed in other beings,
waiting.
waiting for the other parts.
i believe when all of those ripped up parts
are in the same room,
there is a moment in which you lose your breath,
and your eyes will water,
and the only thing you can think
is
"i am exactly where i am supposed to be"
and maybe after that moment, some of the parts move on.
to different beings.
maybe you are only aloud some parts of your soul
for a certain time
in certain people.
maybe you are only ever whole if you accept
that you will always be searching
for those missing pieces of yourself.
and may you find peace in knowing you are
just as alive
without them.
