Mission | Seventeen au

One step closer

The chilli night slapped a cetain mint hair that was sitting on a chair in their backyard, hand clenching the thin sheets he had brought along on his shoulder to protect him from the cold. He didn't really know what brought him out here. Just the breeze calming his nerves down when he was woken up from his deep slumber earlier.

In his 19 years of living, he had never woken up in the middle of the night without any reason. Well maybe there are reasons but not something that would effect his sleep.

As he was sitting silently, his mind wander off thinking about someone which made his heart flipped. Its the first time he's experiencing something like this as he had never had any interest in sort relationship. He had never even had a crush before. From his point of view, those kind of things are unnecessary to live as it would not and never effect his life until recently. He had no idea he could blush like that. It felt foreign yet nice in his heart.

Joshua had purposely close his eyes, wanting to feel the night breeze on his skin carefully. It is true from the books he had read years ago about the night being the calmest moment you could get for free. It felt even calmer as they are stationed in the middle of some HQ thing so there are no disturbance. He liked it. He like this moment. He truly wished for it to last longer until a voice calling him from behind.

"Joshua hyung?"

That voice. The voice makes him think he was in a dreamland. It felt so soothing it could be a dream. How he love that voice so much he didn't notice his name was being called again. The third time it he was called, that brought him back to reality as he turn around.

His heart skip a beat- more like beating like crazy when he saw Seokmin at the doorway, holding a cup of what looks like a hot water. "O-Oh...", he turn back and hung his head low to keep his blush hidden from the boy. "H-hey..". He squeeze the sheets even harder, calming his nerves down and really, for god's sake, trying his best to hide his crimson face.

Once he heard the sound of door closing, he let out a low sigh grateful that Seokmin had left until he saw a pair of foot near his seat and when he looked up, Seokmin is smiling at him while handing him a cup of hot chocolate. "Can I sit here?" He heard the latter ask and took the cup with shaky hands before nodding slowly, head still hung low. Seokmin took it as a yes and sit beside Joshua, only a few centimeter away from him and that again make Joshua's heart beating like crazy. He just hope the other didn't hear any of his impossible heart.

"You can't sleep?" Seokmin asked the older hoping it could start any conversation with him as the quiet feels rather unsettling.

Joshua just returns it with a small nod before sipping a bit from his cup. Seokmin smile at the respond and lean back again the chair, his eyes now concentrating on the stars above his head. He notice of course how the older lift his head a bit and stare at Seokmin like he was some sort of a statue. A beautiful statue if he may correct his words.

At that Seokmin let out a small simple laugh but looks ethereal to Joshua. "Why are you looking at me like that? Do you have something to say?" At that Seokmin turns his head towards the older which almost instantly turn his head the other way, hiding his flushed face. Well although Joshua did turn the other way, he could still see the pink hue on the other's ears signalling he was blushing or something like that. That just make Seokmin wanting to tease the other.

He slide his hand to the older's head and slightly turn his head, now face-to-face with him. And now he could see how the other's face turning even brighter with the contact of skin and eye. It was overwhelming to say the least. Joshua didn't prepare himself and stumble backward only to fell down the chair, the hot chocolate from earlier splashing on his skin. He let out a groan of pain before clenching his hand to his chest wanting to subdue the pain. That brought Seokmin to reality as he hurriedly makes himself kneeling beside Joshua asking if he was ok or not.

Joshua at the moment didn't talk- no, he can't talk as he was gritting his teeth together. The burn actually did a number on his hand as it turn his pale skin to that of red.

Seokmin seeing the other in pain quickly took his hand to take a look at the burn. It was bad to say. "Let's get this treated", Seokmin says mumbling a low 'sorry' and wrap his arm atound the older's shoulder and his back knee. Seokmin lift him up on the count of three, startling Joshua with his sudden action. That again brought a bright face Joshua, completely forgotten about his hand.

Seokmin brought the two of them inside and place Joshua on the counter just beside the sink. Technically, the older can stand but Seokmin had insist  him to stay put before rummaging in one of the cupboard looking for a first aid kit. When he had found it, he place it beside Joshua and took his hand, opening the tap and letting the water stream down on the wound. That makes Joshua flinch from the pain and clench his other hand tighter.

When he was done washing Joshua's hand, he open the kit and brought out a band aid and an iodine. He wipe the wound with iodine and wrap it with the band aid perfectly. "Done". Joshua examine his hand and smile fondly at his crush's perfect work. He mumble a sweet 'thanks' and was about to push himself off of the counter when a hand stop him. He look at Seokmin quizzily (i dont know how to write that) before the other scoop him up, holding him bridal style like earlier. Joshua mumble a low 'I can walk', obviously stutterring with his words. Seokmin ignore the statement before climbing the stairs towards Joshua's room.

When he enters the room, he could see S.coups on one of the bed sleeping peacefully at the same time taking note than the empty ones are Joshua's. He walk towards it and slowly place Joshua on the bed, pushing the older a bit so that he would lay down nicely on the bed. He then pull the blanket and cover Joshua's body reaching his neck. Joshua was obviously trying to say no at every little thing Seokmin did but was cut off easily by the said guy.

After pulling the cover, he ruffle Joshua's hair fondly with a smile spread across his face. He lean in and whisper a low 'goodnight' and walk out of the room, not forgetting to close it slowly to not wake anyone up. This event surely makes Joshua's face brighten and it also makes him smile like an idiot under the cover. He whisper quietly to himself.

"OMG I love him so much"
