"Go, Mason." I ordered, and the slight boy ran off. "You too Ben. You know what to do." And a second boy ran after the first, heading inside the school.
I rubbed my hands together, watching them go. It was cold. Finally the first signs of autumn were showing themselves, and this morning, you could see your breath swirl in front of your face, the white whisps whirling in the wind.
It was still early, about an hour before school. Normally, I wouldn't even be up yet, but there was much to be done before school started. Today, finally, we were going on full offense.
Yesterday's meeting had been extremely productive, and everyone had contributed their ideas, except a few shy students. A girl with black hair and large brown eyes had been especially nervous, and reluctant to add anything. I would have to look her up later and have a chat.
Now the wheels were in motion, and about twenty students were all around school and the town, getting ready for our first attack.
When she came for school, she would get what we'd promised.
Hell.
I smiled.

It was cold outside as I stepped through the doorframe, and pulled my coat closer to my body, shivering. Guess that was the end of my sunny days. A few golden leaves crunched under my black ankle boots that had no heels. Only a pair of black leggings and an almost black, jean mini-skirt covered my legs, leaving them exposed to the chilly breeze that swept across the garden as I crossed it. Under my black jacket, I wore a matching tank top, which had golden sequins scattered over it. A dark, wool scarf was thrown around my neck at the last moment when I realized how cold it was.
The outfit was rather dark for my taste, but had I felt like I was going to war this morning. So, I had discarded all my cute, bright clothes for the black ones, getting ready to face whatever was thrown at me.
And now I was prepared.
Karla and I had talked late into the night, and I had gathered supplies from around the house, filling up my school bag. She had watched me practice some of my self-defense moves, and had commented and corrected, giving me advice. Karla was a black belt in Karate, as she had done it since she was a child, so I listened hard to what she had said. I was going to need all the advice I could get.
Now, my bag bulged from every pocket in it being filled up to the brim with equipment.
I got on my bike, and started pedalling towards school.
Today was going to be an interesting day.

My eyes narrowed as I locked my bike onto the rack. I could feel the stares boring into my back. I finished, and spun around, my long hair flying around my face. They all turned away quickly, and I smirked. They were still not brave enough to face me head on.
