" why are you doing this to me?"

Jamie pulls away from the sudden kiss, feeling confused and definitely surprised. "W...what are you doing?"

Rowan removes his hands from Jamie's face. "I...I'm sorry." He leans back in his chair, biting his lower lip. "You..." Rowan sighs. He can't think of what to say. How to put it into words. He sucks in a breath, then breathes out. "James I have feelings for you."

Jamie can't help but look opened mouthed at Rowan. "You have feelings for me? You can't have, you shouldn't!"

"Well I do...and have done for a while. Way before all this." Rowan leans in again, resting a hand on Jamie's knee. Jamie looks down at the slim fingers as they seem to comfortably rest. "James...look at me." Rowan speaks soft and calmly. Jamie slowly looks up "In spite of all of this, I still like you and I want to be with you."

Jamie lets out a laugh. "Do you know how ridiculous you sound right now? Beings like me cannot have relationships like normal people. It's too dangerous for everyone involved."

"I know the risks James, I'm not stupid, but I think we could work something out. I've even got the results of my blood mixed with yours." Rowan pulls a file from his drawer, pulling out a page with a chart on it. "Look. My blood type can last 6 hours without you needing more blood." Rowan slams the file closed, getting closer to Jamie again. "I could supply you with my blood."

"What? Like a donor?"

"Exactly!" Rowan looks down flushing a slight red. "I um quite liked our last encounter. I want to experience it again...with you."

It's now Jamie's turn to lean back in his chair. "You like me feeding from you?" Rowan nods. "But what if I go too far?" He thinks back to his parents, how his dad said he would have eventually killed their mother...in the end.

"You won't. I won't let you run empty. That would lower your intake."

Jamie looks at Rowan. This guy was serious. This was the first time in Jamie's life where he felt like he didn't need to change, to have to be one thing or the other. Rowan accepted him for who he was.  Jamie knew it was dangerous, a risk, but he wanted, no. He needed to take it. "Prove it!"

"What?"

"Prove to me that you mean what you say. That you will offer your blood to me when I need it."

Rowan smirks and rolls up the sleeve on his left arm. He then takes a scalpel from a skinny white drawer. He holds up his wrist and presses the blade against the prominent vein and makes a quick slice. He hisses in a breath, as blood starts to trickle down his arm. Rowan offers his arm over to Jamie, whose eyes remain focused on the droplets forming. "Take it." Rowan says.

Jamie grabs a hold of Rowan's arm and keenly tongues and licks the blood. It felt so warm, so delicious. Warm fresh blood was the best. Jamie begins to moan with his enjoyment of what he is tasting.

Rowan looks on, he can't deny that this is turning him on. He can feel his pants starting to tighten. Jamie must sense it too as he stops feeding, mouth smeared in blood. Rowan wastes no time in pulling Jamie close, lips pressing together, he could taste his own blood and it just fueled his desire for more.

"I want this." Rowan moans.

"I want this too." Jamie chuckles back, through the kiss. He had never felt this way before. His primitive desires were present but there was something else there too. Jamie realised it was affection, a human emotion usually missing for Jamie in times like this where he usually only had his eyes on one goal, this felt like so much more. It felt equal, it felt right.
