[Seiryuu's point of view]
I stared at the calendar, and it read '4 December'. Tomorrow is Keiji's birthday, and I still had not gotten him any presents.
It has been two days since we reconciled and since then, I had not felt sad or gotten upset. Keiji was more caring than usual, and tried his best to distract me from that news.
We also planned to visit my parents' grave a few days later after we finished our holiday assignments. Keira wanted to come but Keiji refused as she just wanted to go out and play.
Seeing that Keiji is still asleep, I quickly did my morning routine and got changed into new clothes. I wore a grey sweater and a thick black coat paired with black jeans and a pair of brown ankle boots. Lastly, I wrapped the grey scarf that Keiji bought for me last month around my neck.
I glanced at the pretty sleeping setter and let my gaze stay on him for a few moments before opening the door gently and slipped out.
On my way to the main door, I greeted the butlers and maids and they asked me where was I heading to. Grinning, I cheekily answered, "Secret!" They let out small chuckles and I headed out as they closed the door for me.
The elevator made its way down to the ground floor, and when the doors slid open, I was met with the freezing air. I stuffed my hands in my coat pockets as I roamed the streets. My destination is the shopping mall, but I was still amused by the snowflakes slowly falling onto the ground.
I attempted to catch the snowflakes, but when they reached my hands, they melted within a second. Each time I caught the snowflakes, my eyes shone in delight and amusement.
Unknowingly, I reached the shopping mall entrance and I wiped my hands on my coat before heading in.
I wandered around the mall, my eyes following every store in sight. I used my mobile phone to check the balance in my bank account. To my delight, it was more than enough to buy a decent birthday cake and present for Keiji.
The fact put me into a good mood, and I was practically skipping my way through the mall. Firstly, I was thinking what to get for the soon to be birthday boy.
'Should I get him a pair of volleyball shoes?' I shook of the thought when I remembered his shoes looked new and he has more than a pair of it already.
'Should I buy him clothes?' I sighed when the image of his full rack of clothes came into my mind.
As I looked around the mall, my eyes fell on a store. I let out an accomplished smile and strode towards the store, already knowing what to buy for him.

I took ages to select on the design of the gift, and when I was finally done, my stomach grumbled. Just then, my phone rang and it was from Keiji.
I let out a small squeak and I cleared my throat before picking up his call. "Hello?"
"Where did you go?" He asked in his morning voice. It was deep and raspy, and I could picture him sitting up in bed, shirtless.
I halted that thought and stuttered, "I w-went out for a walk. The weather seemed great. I-I have to go, see you later!" With that, I hung up the call and made a beeline to the bakery.
There were rows of cakes and breads on display, and a stunning chocolate cake with different types of chocolate were atop of it. My eyes shone at its detailed design and beauty before purchasing it.
I walked back home happily, the cake in my right hand and the gift in my left. The sun hung high up in the sky and the snow gathered on the ground began to melt therefore I slowed down my walking speed in case I slip and fall.
