Her occasional giggle sent my heart racing. Her voice was sweet and angelic, like a singer's. My chest clenched when she wrapped her arms around me tighter, and I admired the stunning sunset while walking back home, with Keira teasing me about Seiryuu.
Keira unlocked the house door with her fingerprint and we were greeted with our butler, "Good evening, welcome back."
We greeted him as he closed the door for us. "Dinner will be ready soon," one of the maids informed and we thanked her before ascending the stairs to our respective rooms.
I used my right hand to open the door carefully so that I would not wake the sleeping girl on my back up. I shut the door with a kick from my leg and headed towards the bed.
Gently, I let her down and relieved to see her still sleeping. I went to my drawer and took out a first aid kit to disinfect her wounds.
I rolled up her jeans on her injured side of leg and began to use the alcohol swab to clean her injury. After a few dabs, she hissed and her leg twitched before she sat up.
"I'll be more gentle," I creased my brows.
[Seiryuu's point of view]
I felt my wound stinging and my eyes fluttered open. I took in a sharp breath as I sat up from the bed. I saw Keiji-kun kneeling down and tending to my wound with a first aid kit beside him.
"I'll be more gentle," he suddenly said and my heart skipped a beat. I thanked him and stared at him to distract myself from the pain.
After he bandaged up my wounds, he led me to the bathroom and brought a set of his clothes for me to wear. He went out and closed the bathroom door, "If you need anything just call me."
I took a relaxing hot shower and changed into the set of clothes he lent me. I checked myself in the mirror and washed my face again. I opened the door to find Akaashi sitting on the bed and tapping away on his phone.
He noticed I was done and took his set of clothes, heading into the bathroom. But before he close the door, I hear him say, "Wait for me." The door closed.
I began to dry my hair with the towel and wait for him patiently. After it was less wet, I headed towards the bags of clothes and school supplies Keira-chan and I bought earlier.
The clothes looked expensive and I took out the school supplies and my new bought backpack. I peeled off the plastic covers of the stationeries and books and packed them into the backpack.
Just when I was done, Keiji-kun came out from the shower with his hair wet. He was wearing a sweater and grey sweat pants.
"Let's go down for dinner," he threw his set of dirty clothes and my set of dirty clothes into the laundry basket before opening the door for us to go out.
"I-I'm sorry, I forgot to take my dirty clothes out," I apologised and my face flushed red from embarrassment. I did not want to leave a bad impression and make him think that I am lazy or rude.
He let a small smile ghost his lips and reassured, "It's okay, we all get forgetful sometimes."
I heaved a sigh of relief and he held the door open for me, indicating 'ladies first'. I bowed slightly in appreciation and took small steps out and down to the dining table.
[Akaashi Keiji's point of view]
When we headed down to the dining table, Father and Mother were already seated. Seiryuu and I took our seats next to each other and we all waited for Keira to eat together.
Meanwhile, Mother asked, "Seiryuu, what happened to your hand?"
"I fell down when I was playing volleyball, obaa-san," Seiryuu answered formally. She seemed really polite.
Keira skipped her way down to the dining room and Father asked, "What puts you in such a great mood?"
"I went shopping and bought stuff for myself with the credit card you gave! Hehe," Keira giggled and Dad frowned.
"Did you at least buy useful things for Seiryuu?" Mother raised a brow and Keira nodded.
Then, we all started eating. We had scrambled eggs, grilled fishes, lobsters and miso soup for dinner. Dinner was like usual, with us chit chatting about different topics.
After dinner, we went back to our rooms. Seiryuu was unpacking her newly bought clothes and I helped her to keep it in my wardrobe after she folded them again.
"Keira bought a phone for you?" I picked up the Apple store bag from the ground and she nodded. There was a sim card in the bag as well.
"I don't know how to set this thing up," she rubbed the back of her nape and pursed her lips. I shrugged and led her to the bed, showing her how to insert the sim card and starting up the phone.
Her eyes sparkled when the screen lit up, and I passed the phone to her, guiding her step by step on how to use the device. I also passed my number to her, in case she needs me.
"Thank you, Keiji-kun!" She smiled widely and held the device carefully in her hands. We cleaned up the ground and the bed from plastic covers and boxes and lay down on the bed, side by side.
She stiffened when I shared the covers with her, maybe she was not used to sleeping with someone else. I was not used to it too, but I have to get used to it as we have an arranged marriage.
"Seiryuu-chan, may I ask where are you from?" My curiosity got the best of me and she answered with a slightly tired voice.
"Aoyama desu." That's a rural village and it's a few hours drive from here. I wanted to ask about her family, but it's too insensitive, so I suppressed my curious side and closed my eyes.
"Goodnight, Keiji-kun," she spoke softly and I hummed, "You can call me Keiji when you're with me or my family. But please call me Akaashi in school."
I thought she would be disappointed at the fact that I was trying to keep 'us' a secret, but I thought wrong. Instead, she nodded, "I understand. You can call me Seiryuu. Goodnight Keiji, thanks for today."
I switched off the table lamp and the room was dim. The only light source was the city lights shining into my room, making it lit faintly.
There's school tomorrow. I hope she can get accustomed to school life since she is from a small village and have never seen much about the world.
Goodnight, future wife.
