The Doctor was scribbling down math equations on his blackboard while speaking to himself out loud.
{Y/n} sat in the armchair not far from him, silently reading but was finding it hard to concentrate with his mumbling.
"You're doing it again," she said, turning the page of her book.
"Doing what?" He asked, flinging his hands in the air.
"Talking to yourself," She laughs.
"Why do you do that?"
The Doctor ignores her comment and goes back to finishing off his equation. She sighs from boredom before standing, snapping her book shut.
"What's the plan today. Anywhere nice?" She asks, strolling to the console.
"If you're patient. I'm planning on taking you both somewhere 'exciting', but first we have to make a quick stop," The Doctor replied, rubbing his temples and looking down at something not paying attention to the look that {Y/n} was giving the old-time traveller.
"Both?" She questions.
The Doctor hummed in response, pretending to have not heard what she said, but she knew fine well he did.
"I'm assuming 'both' is implying that you have someone else coming along with us?" She says folding her arms.
"I wonder how you figured that out," The Doctor said, rolling his eyes and returning to his console.
"But yes, we'll be picking up Clara from her apartment," He finished only causing more confusion to dawn the girl.
"Clara?"
"Yes, Clara. That's what I said, pay attention," he said.
"Whose Clara? Is she your girlfriend or something?" She asked.
"Clara? No." He chuckled.
"Clara's a friend. Assistance if you will," he said strolling around his console flipping switches at random.
"Or perhaps your companion," {Y/n} said, watching him spin on his heel with an unamused look prying on his face.
"She's my...what's the word..." He looked off in thought and clicked his fingers together once catching.
"Carer! That's the word. She cares so I don't have to," he says, making her chuckle.
"Right. Gotcha," she smirked, earning a look from him. There was a short period of silence that no one was sure how to break, but {Y/n} found herself doing so.
"So, when you say somewhere exciting..." {Y/n} stopped speaking as the Doctors voice overlapped.
"Ha! Exciting," He laughs, startling her a little.
"What's so funny?"
"Clara wants to meet a childhood idol from a book she read when she was little. According to her, this person exists and it's up to me to prove her wrong," The Doctor said, fiddling around with his controls self- satisfied.
"So, you're only doing this to prove her wrong?" {Y/n} rephrases his words, folding her arms over as a mischievous smirk showed on his lips.
"Correct," he said.
Turning, he pulls down the lever sending the TARDIS jolting along with {Y/n}.
☆ Clara's Apartment ☆
The TARDIS lands herself in someone's bedroom and both the Doctor and {Y/n} come out. The Doctor turns and stops her from following him further.
"Wait here," he instructs.

FanfictionI really think the 12th Doctor is underrated. I absolutly adore the man! Personally, I think that a lot more people should write more fanfics about 12 :) Before, it was just a man and his box. But one day, he finds someone oddly intriguing on their...
