The three stands in the stadium, watching Robin perform his fancy archery skills. {Y/n} guessing that it was to impress Clara no doubt.
The Sheriff of Nottingham fought alongside him to prove their skills worthy and although Robins charm never failed him, the Doctor came out of nowhere and shot an arrow, immediately overtaking the two.
Clara and {Y/n} watched in shock as it all unfolds but began to question if any of this was real. It was almost too good to be true.
The Sheriff commands his guards to kill the Doctor after he'd decided that now was the time to use his sonic to blow up the target. The four later end up down in an old, worn-down dungeon.
Across from them sat a rotten old skeleton corpse fastened to the ground.
The only light illuminating the chamber was a cross-shaped slit in the wall showing {Y/n}, The Doctor, Clara and Robin all chained together, forming a line horizontally.
The chains ran through large hoops buried into the stoned slopes, Clara and Robin at both ends making {Y/n} sat in between the Doctor and Clara.
"Splendid. Enchained," Robin sighed defeatedly.
"Yep,"
{Y/n} looks over to Clara and couldn't tell if she was being calm because she'd been in a situation like this before, or if she was just good at hiding her fear. She didn't think to question it, considering the situation they were in.
"Trussed up like Turkey-cocks. Thanks to your friend," Robin continues.
"Shut It, Hoodie. I saved your life," the Doctor replies.
"Ah, look. They've even made nicknames for each other," {Y/n} commented sarcastically.
"I had the situation well in hand," he protests.
"Long-haired ninny versus robot killer knights? I know where I'd put my money," The Doctor said causing a strange noise to escape out {Y/n}'s mouth. Clara snaps her head to her with a sharp glare.
"What? It's funny," she says, following a snort.
"I don't see anything funny about being chained up," Clara says, abruptly turning away.
"Yeah, you're right, Clara. Sorry," {Y/n} says, frowning.
"You've got to have a little humour though. Besides, how are you so calm?" {Y/n} questions furrowing her brows.
"I'm just..." she refrains from looking at her and looks away with a sigh.
"...used to this," She mumbles, causing the two to fall silent.
As time slowly passed, all that could be heard was the Doctor and Robin bickering at each other. Robin started laughing, only making things escalate.
"Guard! He's laughing again! You can't keep me locked up with a laughing person!" He bellows out at the door who he thought was being guarded.
During this time, {Y/n} had dropped her head to the floor and raised her legs to try and stop her throbbing head from worsening. It was then she realised how loose the chains felt around her wrists.
She began wiggling around until it was loose enough to pull one free. Her eyes widen in shock. Was the guard that dumb not to check if her chains were on properly. Not that she complained. She carefully glanced over at Clara to see that her head was up in annoyance then glanced over at the two men who continued to argue with one another.
With everyone distracted, she was able to wiggle out her other wrist and sit up, pretending to still be chained.
Clara finally broke.
