Chapter 11: My Saturday

Charlotte's POV

"Hey wake up!!" I felt hot liquids in my face. I'm crying again... "I woke you up because you seem to be in pain. Just earlier you were so peaceful." Kishly explained. "Thanks. I had a nightmare." I said and wiped my tears. I noticed she and Rezelle are casually dressed. "You both are up early." "We're going to my house, wanna come with?" Rezelle asked. "No thanks." I politely declined.

"We'll be back tomorrow night. Goodbye!!" Kishly pleaded goodbye and Rezelle waved goodbye to me. I can't believe it's saturday today. One week in this school felt like a month.

Today i'll be spending my day in the training room. If I want to make everyone proud of me, I need to train. So I changed into my black off-shoulder polka mesh long sleeve with a white tatered jeans and a simple brown leather sandals.

Lian: Chris and I are headed to the cafe near school, wanna come? They have books that are free to read.

Me: Sounds tempting but I have somewhere to be, next time :>

Lian: Okkkk

Hayst.. no matter how much I want to chill for today, I can't. I headed to the training room and saw Lincoln training so I turned around and was about to exit when he called me. "You can stay you know."

"It's okay, I can change rooms. Besides I don't want to disturb you since you're preparing for your fight this friday." I explained. "No worries. I'm already prepared for the fight." He replied, is it just me or does he want me to stay? I just smiled and wore punching gloves. "Well, if you say so."

I then started punching. Ahhh! I can hardly make this punching move!! I tried punching harder but no luck. I was shocked when I felt a pair of hands run down from my back shoulders into my hands.

It was Lincoln. He held into my fist and straightened my right hand and placed my left hand near my shoulder. He then bended my knees lower and positioned my feet into an angle between 40 and 45 degrees.

"Sometimes its not about how strong you punch, its about the physique." He whispered in my ear. "Thanks Lincoln." I replied.

I started punching by changing the posture of my left hand into my right hand and vice versa. It worked!! A smile escaped from my mouth. Maybe I have a chance in this.

I've been practicing since morning and when I checked the wall clock it was noon. "Wanna grab lunch with me?" Lincoln asked. "Yeah sure." I replied and smiled at him. After exiting the building we headed into the parking lot which suprised me.

"Aren't we going to the cafeteria?" I asked. "Nope. We're heading to the mall." I gave him a confused look which made him sigh. "Just trust me okay? You don't want to eat in the school during weekends." I can't stop myself from giggling. FYI i'm not fangirling or anything.

"Why are you giggling?" He asked confused. "Because I never thought you have this kind of side in you." i giggled harder which made him raise an eyebrow at me. "What kind of side?" "A friendly one. I mean you're different from when I first saw you. Now you seem... less cold." I laughed, and he walked even faster.

We stopped infront a Red Lamborghini Gallardo!! "How the hell do you have one of this??" I asked suprised! I would have preffered my eldest brother's Ferrari 458 Italia, but come on! Lincoln is a high school student!!

"My parents got both me and Rye cars a month ago so we can drive on our own." Wow! I mean I'm not complaining or anything but my upcoming lamborghini huracan is nothing compared to this. "Is it even legal for you to drive this when you're only 17?" "Let's just say my parent's have... connections. So hop in, i'm hungry." And there's the Lincoln I met.. hahahh.

When we entered the mall, a lot of people stared at Lincoln. Well I can't blame them, he has a pair of rare eyes. Not to mention he's handsome.

I stopped in my tracks when I saw a book set of 'the darkest minds' displayed by the store. I've always wanted to buy one but i've been busy!! Without a doubt I entered the national book store and grabbed the book set. While going to the cashier I spotted a 'weathering with you' book and a set of calligraphy pens. I also took them and lined in the cashier when Lincoln poped up.

He raised an eyebrow at me indicating why I suddenly disappeared. "Sorry, it caught my eye and.. here I am." I smiled widely at him. "Total of 2,750 ma'am. Cash or credit?" The cashier asked kindly to me. That's the moment I realized that I did nit bring my wallet with me. I then looked shyly at Lincoln.

"Can I borrow cash? I forgot my wallet hehehh." "Credit." Lincoln told the cashier and offered the card he took from his wallet.

Haystt. Mga babae ngayon kahit ano nalang ang iniisip. "Thank you for buying ma'am, come again!!" ani ng cashier at lumabas nah kami habang dala dala ni Lincoln ang shopping bag. "Saan mo gusto kumain?" tanong niya sa akin. "Food court!!" maligaya kong sagot sa kaniya. And ito naman siya... tinaasan naman ako ng kilay. "Just trust me okay? Hahahh" I copied what he told me earlier.

I was amazed by their food court, it has many japanese and korean food variations. Unlike the one in my home city. "Saan gusto mo?" "Diyan." sagot ko sabay turo sa 'Ramenia'. In our city, 'Ramenia' has delicous korean foods that are TO DIE FOR!! I picked only 2 dishes kahit nah gusto ko ang lahat. Ehh kasi naman, nahihiya naman ako kay Lincoln. Siya kaya yong mag babayad hehehhh.

We sat on a table near by, and waited for our order. Suddenly Lincoln's phone rang. "Sophia stop bothering me. You can't change my mind." He then looked at me and pointed the exit, indicating he'll leave for a second to talk to the person calling him.

I travelled my eyes through the whole food court to get rid of my boredom when 3 young men approached me. Based on their looks, they have the same age as me. "Excuse me miss pwede manghingi ng number mo?" I looked at the person talking with wide eyes as I pointed myself. "Ako?"

"Yes. Itong kaibigan ko kasi nagagandahan sayo." Sagot niya at napakamot sa ulo. I'm not the type to give my phone number to strangers pero ayaw ko rin maging rude...

"Get away from my girlfriend." bigla nalang sumupot si Lincoln while giving deadly vibes. Teka lang... girlfriend?? Kelan pa ako naging girlfriend niya?

Bigla nalang nagsilayasan ang mga lalaki at umupo na si Lincoln at dala dala na niya ang pagkain na inorder namin kanina."Thanks for the save." I smiled at him.p

Pag tingin ko sa pagkain.. wha-- bakit ang dami?? "Hindi bah sobra toh?" "I saw how you looked at the food earlier so I figured it would be best if I ordered a lot." "Thanks. Pero nakakahiya naman." "Money is not a problem for people like us." People like us... I still can't accept the fact that this is my life now.. A life full of illegal stuffs??

But I didn't let THAT ruin my mood. The first bite of the tteokbokki taste like heaven. Hmmm it's always delicous. Next I ate some Jajangmeyon, and wow. It never failed to amaze me. I savor each bite of the different kinds of food in front of me. And forgetting all my worrys.

Tiningnan ko si Lincoln who is basically forcing himself not to laugh. "Why? What's funny?" I asked him. "You. You've almost finished everything and it's quite enjoyable to watch." He answered and I finally saw fire in his cold eyes. Maybe there's more to people than who they appear to be.

I just laughed at his remark and continued eating. After we finished, I suggested we head back to school. "I'm sorry I can't accompany you to the training room, I have... someplace to be." he explained when we reached the school gate. "It's fine, thank you for the lunch." I smiled sweetly at him. I really am thankful.. For once I can go out and eat without having to think who I used to eat with..
