Chapter 4

Serena POV

I am an angel sent by the moon goddess to protect Raine. Moon goddess didn't reveal the reason behind her protection. She was a mere human. What was the need for her protection? Initially, I didn't like her. Because of her, I was separated from my family.

But as time passes by, I started to like her. She is such a sweetheart. She always thinks good for the bad omen also. I will protect her with my life. There are angels, demons, werewolf, and witches in the moon and also in the human world. Even in our company, twenty percent of the employees were werewolves. But they will not reveal their identity. It was a rule created by the moon goddess.

We should not use our power to hurt human beings. But some bad omens were doing that. They are rogues. I was not able to mingle with Raine's family. She has built a wall over her heart. She doesn't allow anyone inside that wall. I could predict that something was wrong with her family. They were not even providing her pocket money. I started to take care of her expenses. Today she was late to the office. I was informed by PA that Raine was needed to meet the CEO after her arrival.

The CEO is the alpha king of our entire committee. He is a heartless man. Raine came to the office by nine-thirty. There was a bandage on her forehead. Someone did that to her. I need to find the person behind this activity. I informed her that she was needed to meet the CEO. After 15 minutes she came out of his room with a flustered face.

I asked her, "what happened". She told me that the CEO starred at her with some unknown emotion. Usually, this happens when the werewolves find their mate. So, without thinking I asked her whether he said anything like a mate or something. She gave me a weird look and said no. I need to talk about this to the moon goddess. She is stressed about something. I wanted to see her happy without any worries.

Using my skill I made her accept for the party plan. Now we were on the way to the mall to purchase a dress for the party. What? Why are you giving me a weird look? So, what we are also a part of humans. So, we do all the normal things as human beings. We eat a lot comparing to humans. I love to do shopping. We went to at least 5 shops in search of our dress. I didn't find the one for me till now. Raine was also looking for her dress. I let out a loud squeal. Finally, I found my dress. It was a blue-colored knee-length netted dress.

Raine came towards me and thumbs up at my selection. Yet she didn't find her dress. I know her well. She will not look at the color or beauty of the dress. She looks at the price tag. Oh! my god, what will I do with this girl? I started to search for a dress for her. Some dresses were more revealing and some were looking like a blanket. Raine has a petite body with some curves. I need to find a suitable dress for her.

There was a white dress hanging above my head. It was a knee-length dress. It will look beautiful on her body. We purchased that dress. Out of blue Raine told me that she was feeling hungry. Man, this was the first time I have heard these words from her mouth. We went to the food court to have our food. She started to tremble behind me. Afraid of being in the crowed area. I gave a squeeze to her hand to make her feel comfortable. I asked her to sit in the corner of the food court. I went to order food for us.

I ordered one large pizza, burger, fries, and coke. We started to eat. She let out a burp by eating some fries and burger itself. She asked me the way to the restroom. After sometime Raine ran towards me with a pale face. She started to blabber whatever happened inside the restroom. Only vampires and witches have the power to disappear like that. Who is that? I consoled her that it was her imagination.

I dropped her at her home and went to the forest to find the answer to all my questions. "Moon Goddess, what is happening around me". The moon started to shine brightly. "Serena the danger is nearing. Be with Raine all the time. She is the one who is going to protect the sun and moon. She will also find her mate". I give her a confused look.

"What a mate. And how come she is going to save our world. What is going to happen to our world". "Be patient my child. You know the story about white diamond right". The white diamond was missing 1000 years ago. Vampires were searching that diamond for a long period. Vampires think that was stolen by people on the moon. From that day people in the sun always find a way to fight with people on the moon. "Yeah Moon goddess".

"Vampires got the clue for that white diamond. War is going to happen, dear. If Raine finds her mate, allow her to be with him. He is the one who could give her all the powers". "I am more confused now". "Time will answer dear. Patience is the virtue of success" Then she disappeared. But I was sure of one thing that Raine was paired with someone. I need to discuss this with the Alpha King.

"Serena". Xavier was standing on his four legs. He went inside the bush and came out as a human. "Serena, I know about you". I looked at him with wide eyes. "I came to know that you are the protector of my mate".

"What how come you know that". "Come on Serena How come I will not know when Raine is my mate". It confirmed that my best friend Raine was the mate of Alpha king. Then she would be the Luna queen of our world. "I came to know about her background. She is 23 years old. She has two members in her house. One is Maria the pack doctor and Maria's father Christopher. Raine is not blood-related to them. But I am unable to find Raine's history. She was treated badly by that idiot. He thinks that her wife was killed by my mate. My poor Raine".

"I always had a bad opinion about her father. But now it becomes true. I will kill him." How could he able to hurt a person like Raine? Won't he have any heart? "No, wait we need to find her history. For that we need him. He was arrested by the beta. He will be here next morning". My worry about Raine has increased now. "I need to protect my mate. She is too weak. ".

"But Alpha king, Moon goddess told a different thing that Raine is the one who is going to protect the sun and moon. And also, she will get that power from being your mate. " He was looking at me with an uncalculated expression. And then he ran back towards the forest.
