I went to take care of the arrangements for the evening ball. "Beta... Check every one before entering the hall. No mistakes should happen." "Sure, Alpha King. And congrats on finding your mate."

I nodded my head and went to get ready. I opened the door and went inside. No sound. Fear aroused in my mind. I shouted for my mate and entered our room.

There she was standing in glory. I was stunned by her beauty. The dress fitted her perfectly. I bought this dress for her. You remember the day when both Raine and Serena went to the mall for shopping. I was there also. I watched her from the corner of the store.

She looked at that blue dress longingly. But she didn't purchase that because of the rate. Money was nothing to me. I can buy this entire mall for her. I purchased that dress on the day.

"You look stunning Raine. But change the dress." Both of them looked at me with confusion. "What... why should I change my dress"? How I am going to explain it to her?

"Baby you look beautiful in this dress. Every man in the ball will look at you. I will not able to digest their ogling looks at you." She glared at me. "Mr possessive werewolf. Go and get ready for the ball. I am not going to change anything."

She pushed me into the restroom to have a bath. Puff. Not able to change her mind. After trimming my beard, I took a bath. Coat, shoot, and pant was arranged in the bed. Nice choice.

She was standing in front of the mirror and looking at her image. "Something is missing in you, sweetheart" I hugged her from behind. Her breath hitched at my contact. Still not used to my touch.

"What..."? I tied a white gold necklace around her. Now she looks perfect. I extended another box to her. "Beautiful. But take it back Xavier. You have spent much on my dress itself."

"None can be taken princess. Now come out after wearing the studs."

Raines's POV

I went out after wearing the studs. "Our mate loves us more. Come on leave this stupid ball. We can make love with him". Ahh... Monza. Shut up, idiot.

"Shall we go"? Xavier extended his hand to me. I looped my hands with him. We walked towards the car. He opened the door and made me sit in the car. He went to the other side. And sat on the driver seat. He locked the seat belt on me.

Chivalrous. I can find it in his doings. He started to drive the car. "Can you be chivalrous and put the song, please? I am bored." He pulled my nose. "Naughty mate. How can you get bored when I am here"? He smirked at me

Back to form. He can't act like a gentleman for five minutes also. "That's the reason why I am asking you to put some song." He let a soft growl. "You shouldn't have said that baby. I will show you how I am boring tonight".

I playfully hit him on his hand. We have reached the destination. Xavier opened the door for me. I smiled at him. He took my hand in his and started to walk on the red carpet. I can hear whispers from everyone.

We came to the stage. My eyes searched for the known face. Angeline and Serena were standing near the stage. I was relaxed now. Some of them were smiling at us. Young girls were throwing a glare at me.

"Relax baby girl. Don't get tensed. You are a Luna Queen. Keep your head high.". Yeah, I need to act like a queen. Not as a naïve and innocent girl. I smiled at him.

"Hello my dear people. I am glad that you people have gathered here. There were true and false rumors among the people. Yeah, it's true. I have found my Luna Queen. I am happy to present my mate Raine here."

Everyone started to applause me. I smiled at them. I took the mike from him and started to talk. "Hi everyone. I am Raine. The Luna Queen. Weird to pronounce the title. Titles cannot be taken by anyone. Titles are created for the right one. I will try my best to be the right one."

People started to admire at my words. Serena showed thump up at my speech. Xavier was proud of me.

"Shall we have our dance mate"? Xavier asked for my hand. We moved towards the center of the ball. Lights were off. A melodious song was playing.

He placed his right hand on my hip and another hand on my shoulder. "Xavier, I haven't danced from my birth. Please cope up with my dance".

"Don't worry Raine. Look into my eyes and follow my moves." He started to move. I can see the love in his eyes. We were highlighted by a spotlight. The place became silent. He twirled me around him and took in his arms. He rolled me towards the floor with his hands on my hips and pulled me up. The song was over.

The lights were on. There was something wrong around the place. Blood. I can smell blood everywhere. "Xavier, what happened"?

"VAMPIRES". The single words made my body shudder. I turned to look for Serena and Angeline. They were missing. "Xavier, Serena, and Angeline were missing."

I started to search for them while Xavier started to investigate who was behind this. I searched them all over the hall. Nowhere I can find them. I went to the entrance of the ballroom.

My breath hitched in my throat. "FACE THE WAR. WE HAVE TOOK YOUR PRECIOUS MATE AND SISTER. I WILL KILL THEM TOMORROW. TIK TOK. TIKTOK. COUNT THE HOURS".

Oh my god! they mistook Serena as Xavier's mate. "Xavier, come here and lookout".

He came towards. "They have kidnapped Serena and Angeline. We need to protect them." I will do anything to protect them. Apart from this creature stuff Serena was my best friend. And Angeline was a good soul. The fire started to empower me.

I turned to the people and said "GET READY FOR THE WAR. TRY TO NOT KILL THE INNOCENT ONES."

Xavier's POV

Bloody Vampires, they have killed many innocent people. How did they come inside the magic spell? It was impossible. The head of the witches committee came near me. "Son. The spell can be broken only by the witch. I have checked with all. Jacqulyn is the one who is missing. It had to do something with her. Some of the people were missing"

Rage was empowering my body. Wait until I get you, witch. I heard Raine's voice from outside. I ran towards her. Serena and Angeline were kidnapped by them. My sister and an angel. They were close to me and Raine. We need to protect them.

Raine declared war on the people. I can see the rage in her eyes. "Alpha king, Millions of vampires were waiting in the border of the land. They are going to start the war at midnight".

"Ok Beta. The warriors should be assembled in an hour. Get ready for the war". I turned towards Raine. "Your birthday is tomorrow." I nodded my head at her. "There is always next time Raine. Now it's not the time to mourn over things. We need to protect the wellbeing of people"

She nodded and me. "Xavier. It might be silly. But we have one hour. Tell everyone to spend this time with their loved once." It's true. We do not know what the future holds. I mind linked my beta and informed the change of plan.

We went home and cuddled in bed. "Xavier can we talk something apart from this war." I don't know what to talk about. My mind was packed with thoughts.

"Xavier, have you ever thought about having children"? I was taken back by her question. "Are you pregnant Raine"?

"No. I am just curious to know". I was relaxed with her reply. It's not like I don't want children. I was always fond of having a mini version of her. But it's not the right time to be pregnant. "I love babies Raine. Don't worry, we will fill our house with children." She gently pushed my chest and laid on there.

"Alpha. Everyone gathered here. We are waiting for you and Luna Queen". Beta mind linked me. One hour was over. It went out like a minute.

"Raine. Get up. Time to face the war." I kissed her on her forehead for a long time.
