Chapter 8

Raine POV

I was burning red with his naughty comment. Usually, I don't feel this much close to anyone. But Xavier was making me feel something beyond my imagination. But he will not like me. I should make my mind clear about this. "Sir, but you didn't tell me what is a mate". "Call me Xavier and I will tell the reason. Or else I won't".

I pouted at him. It's my only trick to make Serena answer my question. But it didn't work for him. Something changed in his eyes. Like lust. I shivered at his look. "Nice trick baby girl. Call me Xavier". This time he told me with some more intense in his voice. "How can I call you Xavier. It is highly unprofessional." I gave him a triumph smile.

"Baby girl did you notice you have called me Xavier already". I slouched my head down. Great Raine you have insulted yourself. But Xavier was laughing continuously at me. It made me smile also. He stopped it and came near me. "Call me once again with my name. I need to know how it will roll out of your tongue". He whispered in my ears.

"Xavier". I moaned his name. I covered my face with my hands. I felt really stupid to act like that in front of my boss. Please god open the ground and swallow me inside. How will I face him now? "MATE, don't cover yourself from me". I looked at him shyly. "I am not like this with anyone. I don't know what is happening with me".

"It's because of the mate bond". Again, the confusion overloaded in my mind. What is this mate bond? Why I am feeling attracted to him? "Do you have belief over supernatural power". "You mean werewolf, vampire-like that. I watched many super natural's movies". He laughed at me again.

"Yeah. What if they are real"? Now it was my turn to laugh at him. "Nice joke though." But he reminded silent. No emotions were shown on his face. I gulped down my smile. "Princess don't run away on hearing me. Promise me you won't". I promised him.

He started to close his eyes. And within moments he was replaced with the same blue-eyed dog. WOW, I am the one terrified now. So, he is a werewolf. Oh my god! and mate is like a soul to them. I am his mate. I don't want to faint now. But my body didn't listen to my words. Darkness overloaded me.

I woke up with someone's pleading. Xavier was standing there with a naked chest. I blushed down. He caressed my hair slowly. He tried to make me sit on the bed "I know you have a lot to ask. But first, eat this soup. You need the energy to ask questions.". He started to feed me. He was the second person after my mother to feed me. The soup was already over. I am glutted now.

"So, I am your mate. You will bite me and then you will mate me. I need to carry your pubs. Will, I also..." I continued my ranting.

"Hold on mate. All those movies fed you stupid information. Yes, we will mate and have babies. I will bite only with your permission. Everything will happen out of love." I was visibly relaxed now.

"Will you drink blood from humans?" I asked this question with fear in my mind. Till now I won't allow anyone to inject me. I have fear over it. "No mate we eat normal food only. But we eat more comparing to humans". But how comes he look fit after eating like a giant. "We do exercise mate". Oh my god! He could read my mind. Please brain, don't think of stupid things when you are near him.

"Oh, you can read my mind". He smirked at me "Yes I can read the mind once we are mated. But now your expression tells me that".

"Can I see your wolf". He was surprised by my request. "Sure. But don't run away from me". I nodded at him. He closed his eyes. After some time his body started to change. His bones were breaking with sound. He was standing on four legs with a wolf body. He opened his eyes. It was blue. It was drawing me towards him. He was a beast with sharp canines. Saliva was drooping from his mouth.

He looked dangerous. Any time he could pound on me. I started to move backward. With each step I took backward he took a step forward. I was hit with a wall. Great Raine. Now there is no way to escape. But I promised him that I will not run away.

I went near him after taking a deep breath. I patted his head with my hands. His fur was very soft. Like a pillow. He wiggled his tail happily. I sat near him. He was huge comparing to me. Like a huge teddy bear. His snout was touching my neck. I could feel his hot breath. My whole body was tingling.

Then he started to play with me. I yawned with open mouth. He went inside the restroom and came out as Xavier. I felt drowsy because of the medicine I took. He made me sleep on the bed. I can feel a dip on the other side of the bed. I was pulled towards him. His arms were on my hips. I felt safe here.
