Xavier POV

My Beta has faxed the information about my mate.

Name = Raine – human

Father = Christopher Alexander – human

Mother = Died – human

Sister = Maria Alexander- human

Friends = Serena – Angel

Job = Coder

Age = 23

Crimes = Nil

Boyfriends = None

Note - Christopher is an alcoholic. He is still mourning over his wife's death. He thinks Raine is the reason for her death. So, he has been treating her badly for the past ten years. Serena is an angle sent by Moon Goddess to protect Raine. Don't know the reason for her protection.

My veins were popping out of my skin. I was getting burned in the angriness. My wolf overtook me and ran across the forest. I need to kill his father for treating my mate badly. My wolf growled at my thoughts "Stupid don't do it. We need to find the history of our mate. He is the one who knows that. Think rationally."

I mind linked my beta to arrest her father. Someone was standing near the river. I ran closer to her and it was Serena. I called her and said all the things about my mate. She was not astonished to know that Raine is my mate. She got angry at hearing that Raine was abused by her father.

I was astonished to hear that Raine is the one who is going to save our world. And also, that she will get her power by being my mate. Now all the dots were getting closer. Moon Goddess paired us for some reason. I will protect her with my heart. I need to take care of her father's shitty business.

I ran towards the basement. There he was tied in the chair. He was a resemblance of sin. I went near him and punched across his face several times. Blood was oozing out of his nose and mouth. And I don't care about it. This is how my mate also felt when he abused her. I will kill him for sure after getting my answer. No straight death for him. I will torture him daily until he will beg mercy to kill him.

"How did you get Raine? ". He smiled at me evilly with his crooked teeth and said "Oh that slut, already opened her legs for you lover boy". I twisted his hand to the angle where he lost his ability to smile. "Don't even try to insult her, I will kill you with my bare hands. Answer my question bloody old man". I could hear the breaking sound of his bones. It was not enough for him. His head was slouched in pain. I took the hold of his neck and asked "Now open your damn mouth and answer."

"She is not my daughter. I had a lovable wife. We were living happily. We were not blessed to have a child. My wife was keen to get a child. One day she found a baby girl across the river. I begged her to not raise this child. She could be anyone's child. But my wife was adamant about her decision. There was no option for me than to accept her. From that day she became a member of our family. But I didn't accept her. She is not our blood. But I gave her all the things she needed. I started to accept her as my child. After 3 years my wife got pregnant with a baby girl.

Life was running smoothly until 5 years. One day Raine and my wife went to the forest to get some herbal plants. They haven't return till evening. My mind was occupied with different thoughts. I went to the forest to bring them back. But what I brought was my wife's dead body. She killed my wife inside this forest." My mate is innocent. She will not be a reason behind her mother's death. "I believe you are telling the truth".

I asked the warriors to not provide him food. He should die out of hungriness. How the hell he could treat my mate like that. Won't he analyze the truth from her? How could a five years old girl kill someone? Don't he have any brain?

Twenty years. She suffered from pain for twenty years. She would be weak from his wrath. "Our mate is a stronger one idiot. No one can survive the pain she had. She endured it. Don't be optimistic." My wolf roared with his words.

Maybe he is right. I need to make things positive. "I am always right". The cocky wolf.

I felt an uneasy emotion inside my heart. The emotion which was banned in my dictionary. Fear. I placed my hand over my heart. It was beating faster. What's happening to me. These kinds of emotions will come only if someone closes to us is suffering.

My beta mind linked me and said that someone was trying to hurt my mate in the Lynen night club. My veins started to curl from anger. Some prick was hurting my mate. A question raised in my mind. What she was doing in the club late-night? With whom she went to the pub. Boyfriend. No. No. No. She doesn't have any boyfriend. I am the only person she could love or think.

"Stupid stop with your possessiveness. Run for our mate." I ran towards the club and let out a shattering growl.
