Chapter 7

Xavier POV

"Kill him without any mercy. His death should make everyone fear to come near our mate next time". My wolf was roaring inside my head. I punched him on his face until he fainted. I will deal with him later. I turned towards my mate.

Her lifeless body was on the floor. I scooped her in my arms and ran towards the pack hospital. I could hear the faint breath from her. Her face looked pale. She is alive. I chanted this like a mantra until we reached the hospital. I yelled for the pack doctor. "Make sure she wakes up mister. Or else you will not be able to wake up for the next few weeks ".

I could smell the fear from him. He asked me to go out of the ICU. I looked at him with an intimating look. "No. I have all the right to be with her wherever I want. Just shut up and do your work. Or you will not have the tongue to speak again ". He injected the IV on her hand. My mate whimpered in the pain. My heart crushed at this sight. Then her wounds were dressed properly.

"Alpha King. She is all right now. We have treated her physically but she is week mentally. Be gentle with her.". I moved towards her bed. Her hands were very small. But it fitted perfectly in mine. I caressed her hands slowly. And I made a promise in my mind that I will love her until my death.

"Wat...Water". Someone shuttered in my dreams. The voice was melting me. Suddenly I woke from my sleep. "It's not a dream you fool. Our mate is asking for water". I poured water on the glass and went near her. Her hands were shaking to hold the glass. I took it from her and helped her to drink the water. Her lips were parched. She slowly drank the water. She was looking at me with fear.

"Sir what are you doing here. Where am I". She was impatiently waiting for her answer. "Xavier". She gave me a questioning look. "Call me Xavier. You have fainted in the pub. I took you to the hospital". Her eyes were filled with water once the realization hits her. I went near to console her. She crouched to the end of the bed.

"I will not hurt you. Not now, not then, and never". She lifted her eyelids and looked at me. "Can I come near. So, you can tell me what happened in the pub ". She thought for a moment and moved slightly in the bed. I sat near her but with a distance. I can feel the heat radiating from her body. "He... He... That bartender did sin to me. He gave me some drink. I felt something different after that. Then he started to behave wrongly with me. He touched me everywhere. I want to remove his touch."

She started to scratch her skin roughly. I took her hands in mine. "No don't hurt yourself. I will take care of him". She leaned over my shoulder and was sobbing continuously. I don't know where to keep my hands. I don't want to be intimate with her now. I tapped her head slowly as a mother did to her child.

I am not good at consoling someone. But everything comes naturally between mates. I heard slights snores from her. She started to breathe evenly. I made her sleep on the bed. I rubbed the tear stains from her cheeks. I leaned forward and kissed her forehead. Tingles were spreading over the place.

I went to the cell where that bartender was arrested. "Please leave me. I haven't done that intentionally. I am innocent". I snarled at him. Innocent with my foot. "Who permitted to touch her". "I am sorry sir. Leave me. I will not repeat the mistake".

I tore him to two pieces. I didn't want to waste my time with his stupid conversation. I cleaned my hands and went to the hospital. Serena was talking to my mate. "Sorry Raine, all because of me. I shouldn't have left you alone there.". Mate hugged her and said "Don't tell sorry Serena. I am the one who did the mistake. You told me not to order anything until you come. But the bartender is an evil man. God must punish him". Such an innocent mate. I laughed at her in my mind.

I opened the door and went inside. "Sir you came again". Again, the sir word. I need her to call me Xavier. I need to know how my name will sound from her mouth. "Xavier. Call me Xavier mate". Serena gave me a surprised look at me. What... I am going to tell her all the things. I need to protect her.

"Mate. What is mate? Like a friend". I laughed at her. She let out an aww sound. "You should smile more. You are looking cute". I smirked at her. "I am anything but not cute. May be sexy". Her cheeks turned to crimson red. "Ok, Xavier I need to do some business. Take care of her". Good for you Serena because I need a moment with my mate to discuss something.
