Haikyuu x Reader Oneshots!

Cheerleader || Asahi Azumane

Asahi Azumane was often someone who was seen as a bad guy due to his size and appearance. He was just a giant, anxiety-ridden teddy bear in reality and at the moment this was very clear as you watched him pace back and forth in front of you, tugging at his black and orange jersey. "Asahi?" You called out to your boyfriend as you leaned against a wall. Currently, you both were hanging around the entrance to the gym. The rest of the team was already inside, warming up for the game which was set to start in about thirty minutes.

Your boyfriend stopped his pacing when you called his name, turning to face you with a worried look. You shook your head and pushed yourself off the wall, "You should stop worrying so much. I know you'll do great and even if you do slip up somehow, you have a whole team ready to support you." You gave him a sweet smile before pulling him into a gentle hug. "Besides, I'm gonna be cheering you on so don't worry one bit okay?" Asahi seemed to freeze up a bit when you hugged him but he relaxed quickly and returned your soft embrace. "I'm sorry Y/N... I'll try my best for you." He squeezed you which made you giggle softly before you pulled away and looked up at him, puckering out your lips. "Good luck kiss?"

Asahi blushed softly before he cupped your face and placed an innocent peck on your lips. Before he could pull away though, you pressed your lips further against his which made his blush grow darker. You'd expect him to get used to your displays of affection considering you've been dating for quite a while now but he always gets flustered when you give him kisses. "Now, go warm-up and make me proud okay babe?" He nodded, now with a bit more of a determined expression though he surprised you as he pulled you in for another soft kiss. "Meet here after the game..?" He asked softly which you quickly nodded in agreement to. You then pulled away and gave his chest a comforting pat before you began to make your way to your seat.

The match was intense. Karasuno had won the first set against their opponents by only a few points and now they were tied up 15-15 in the second set. You had been cheering as loud as you could, hoping the team could hear yours and everyone else's encouraging words over the noise of the rival team's cheer squad. Coach Ukai called a timeout, seeing the boys were sort of losing their groove.  As the boys began to huddle up to discuss how they could gain the momentum again, you noticed that Asahi seemed a bit off.

Usually during games was one of the few times he really looked determined but to you, it almost looked like he was going to start crying. It was true that he had gotten blocked quite a few times and you figured it was starting to bother him. You gave a deep frown as you leaned over the railing of the stands, lifting your hands to cup your mouth before you shouted down to the team. "Hey, Ashai!!" Your boyfriend flinched at the sound of your voice and he looked up with wide eyes, almost like a confused puppy. You had very clearly caught the attention of the others on the team but you didn't mind.

"You're doing amazing babe!! Don't give up and remember that I love you more than anything!! no matter what!" You grinned down at him as you watched his face flush bright red as he gave you a weak smile. His teammates snickered and began to tease the soft ace which only made his face grow even brighter as he meekly asked them to stop.  You giggled softly as they returned to the court and your heart warmed as you realized that your words seemed to have flipped a switch within your lover. 

This was made even more apparent when he asked Kageyama to set him up, blowing through a two-person block as the rest of the Karasuno team cheered happily for him. You clapped your hands and jumped up and down happily along with both Yachi and Tanaka's sister. Asahi turned his attention to you while they returned to their positions, waiting for the serve. you blew him a small kiss which made him blush again and pour more of his effort into the game. "Damn, Y/N." You heard Saeko comment as she crossed her arms over her chest and smirked at you. "Hmm?" You tilted your head as you turned to her. "You're one hell of a cheerleader aren't ya?" She nudged you teasingly, causing you to blush as well. 

"Only for my teddy bear" You winked at her before both of you burst into giggles. The game went very well from that point on and with Asahi's restored confidence, Karasuno pulled ahead easily and won the second set which ended the game. As the boys were gathering their things, you quickly made your way down the stairs and to the entrance of the gym where they were just starting to walk out of. "Asahi!!" You called out, running up to your large boyfriend before jumping into his arms. He let out a small squeak as he caught you, easily holding you off the ground in his embrace. 

You slipped your arms around his neck and wasted no time in smashing your lips against his. His eyes widened and he seemed to freak out at first but his arms tightened around your waist as he kissed back. Your body practically melted against his s your lips moved together in perfect sync. "Wow Asahi, Didn't know you were the PDA type." You heard Noya snicker from behind you both, causing Ashi to pull way and quickly set you back on your own two feet. The guys all started to poke and tease him again as his face burned brighter then you had seen in a while. You narrowed your eyes at the boys and stuck your tongue out. 

"Begone crows, I'd like to make out with my boyfriend in peace." You declared confidently, taking most of them off guard as Asahi practically fainted at your words. "Y-Y/N you didn't really h-have to say that.." your boyfriend muttered, clearly embarrassed as he shook from your words. "Ew. That's gross." Tsukkishima commented as he pushed his glasses up with a frown before walking off, Yamaguchi following after him as well as the others. "I'm never going to hear the end of this." You heard Ashai whimper weakly as you turned back to see his tomato red face.

You simply giggled and wrapped your arms around him again. "Seriously though babe, you were amazing. I'm always blown away when I watch you play." You slipped one of your hands onto his cheek and lightly rubbed his red face with your thumb. He seemed to calm down a bit as his soft brown eyes met yours. "R-Really..?" He asked, sounding hopeful as he carefully wrapped his arms around your waist again. "Absolutely. I think it's crazy hot when you get really into the game and give it your aall~" You purred playfully as you leaned closer to him. The red tint on his face returned but surprisingly he didn't back down from your teasing.

"M-Maybe I should try like that all the time then.." He spoke softly, pulling you a little closer. You both began to lean in then but were so rudely interrupted just before your lips touched again.  "Cmon Asahi the rest of us wanna get home" You heard Daichi call. Ashai's face flushed red all over again and he gave you a quick peck on the lips before he let go and quickly jogged to where Daichi disappeared around the corner. "See you later, Y/N I love you!" He called over his shoulder as he dashed after his team.

You placed a finger to your lips and let out a small giggle. "Damn Daichi, couldn't have waited a few more minutes?" You muttered, slightly disappointed as you made your way to Saeko's car so she could drive you home while the others took the bus.

ahh so this one was a bit shorter then Daichi's, heh but it was still pretty cute and I'm still trying to get in the groove of writing all the personalities so don't worry, I promise they'll get better as time goes on.
