A loud crack of thunder woke you up from your peaceful slumber. The sound shook the house deeply as your eyes shot open. Your body shook slightly in fear for a small moment before you relaxed while your eyes adjusted to the unique lighting the storm had cast in the bedroom. It was clear from the soft light that it was at least early morning and your suspicions were confirmed as you turned to see the digital alarm clock resting on the dresser beside your bed, displaying a neon red '8:04'.  

With a gentle sigh, you shifted to face the window. The blinds were open slightly, allowing you to gaze at the accumulating drops patterning the clear glass. The water droplets blurred out the view of trees, telephone wires and fences that were usually visible, though they were reduced to black silhouettes from the dimmed light. You jumped slightly as a flash of lightning cast the room into a bright light for a few fleeting seconds. Your little jump had caused the large body beside you to shift slightly. 

You had almost forgotten that your giant of a boyfriend was sleeping beside you in the bed. You shifted to face him and the sight nearly stole your breath away. The blanket was tugged down enough to expose his bare shoulder as his arms were tucked under the pillow, holding it closer to him. His head rested on his bicep, which gave you a clear view of his face. His features, usually hard with his typical scowl, were soft, every hard line melting away to reveal a much softer and peaceful expression. 

An appreciative smile graced your lips as you snuggled a bit closer into his side, letting his warmth seep into you. You lifted a hand and slowly traced his face with your pointer finger, your eyes softening and filling with pure love and adoration as you gazed at his sleeping form. You moved to run your fingers through the soft fringe of snow white hair that covered his forehead. You leaned up then and placed a feather-light kiss to his head, letting your lips linger there as you drank in his comforting scent.

You pulled back after a few minutes and snuggled under the blanket, pressing into him as you watched him sleep peacefully, the sound of the rain hitting your window lulling you in a relaxed state. A few moments later, Aone's nose scrunched up a bit and he let out a gentle groan as he nuzzled his face against his arm. His eyes then fluttered open, and it didn't take long for his tired gaze to find yours. Your smile widened as you continued to gaze up at him. He let out a low hum as he moved to drape his large arm over your smaller form. "Good morning, love." You purred happily as you enjoyed his warm embrace. 

Aone hummed once more as he leaned over to place a soft kiss on your forehead. He then rolled onto his back lazily, dragging your upper body to rest over his chest. You giggled and traced circles into his skin as he tilted his head back into the pillows. Soft moments like these were something you craved often. Aone usually had to be up early in the mornings for work, and it was rare for him to take days off. When he did take the rare vacation though, at least half of the time was spent lazing around the house and basking in one another's presence, which you were more than content to do.  

You placed soft kisses along his chest while his fingers ran through your hair. You sat up suddenly, propping your elbows on his chest as you grinned down at him. "Did you know that I Love You?" You cooed softly as he opened his eyes once more to gaze up at you. "Yes. You tell me every day." He replied, his voice heavy with tiredness. You giggled and leaned down to press a soft kiss on his lips. He reacts almost immediately, his arms wrapping around your waist as he presses into the kiss. His tongue swipes across your bottom lip to ask for entrance, but before you could grant him such, another loud boom of thunder echoed outside. 

You squeaked in surprise and pulled away, turning to look at the window where the rain had slapped harder against the glass. Aone let out a deep chuckle at your surprise and you turned to him with a pout.  "Whats so funny?" You questioned defensively, which caused him to laugh lightly again.  "Nothing dear. You're just cute." He whispered as he gazed at you with soft eyes. You melted all over again and hid your face in his chest. "Whatever" You simpered quietly before you gave his skin another soft kiss. The tender moment was interrupted once more by another rumble, though this one came from your stomach rather than the storm outside. 

"Would you like me to make you breakfast, dear?" Aone asked as he played with your hair again.  "In a little. I want you to hold me more first." He smiled at your answer and nodded, though you couldn't see the movement from your position. "Then I'll hold you." He declared as he gave you a soft squeeze. After a few more minutes of laying there, your stomach growled once more, and you lifted your head to look at Aone again. "Now lets go eat." He smiled and nodded, "Of course."
