Maya's POV
I'm a new student at John Quincy Adams middle school. I moved to this school because at my old school, I was always made fun of and it got way out of hand, so I transferred to this school.
I walked in the school and nobody noticed that I was new here. I honestly expected this to happen. I looked for my locker and opened it up when I found it. I put my books inside and walked to my advisory class.
When I went to history class, the only empty seat was in the front. I didn't want to sit in the front, I wanted to sit in the back of the class. I sat down next to a brunette girl. She smiled at me and waved. I smiled at her and turned my head back to the teacher. His name is Mr. Matthews and he is the dad of the girl I sit next to.
When class was over, I went to my locker to put my books away. The girl I sat next to approached me.
"Hi. I'm riley." She reacher her hand out so I can shake it.
"I'm Maya," I say as I shook her hand.
"Wanna eat lunch with me and my friends?"
"Um... Sure."
"Great! See you at lunch." She walks into her next classroom, and I see where I need to go next. Math class. I hate math. I walk in the classroom and the only empty seat was next to this one boy. I think he was in my history class. I sit next to him.
"Hi. I'm Maya," I whispered to him when class started.
"I'm lucas. Nice to meet you." I look at him. He smiles at me. I think I got another friend. I wonder how lunch is gonna turn out...
