Maya's POV

I saw lucas in the hallways at school and tried to avoid eye contact. The bell rang. Kids were rushing out the hallways. I tried to walk to my class, but lucas called me.

"Maya! Wait!" He shouted.

I froze. I slowly turned around.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"I...um...well, I'm sorry about missy. I want you to know that Im not friends with her anymore."

I nod.

"So, yeah, I'm sorry. Would you...want to hang out... later?" He sounded nervous

I smile.

"Sure," I say.

"Great! See you after school. I nod and walk to my classroom.

Lucas' POV

I told Maya that I am no longer friends with missy. I asked her if she wanted to hang out with me after school, and I was really nervous! I was surprised that she said yes. She walked to her classroom and I smiled to myself, and did a little dance to my classroom.

Riley's POV

I think that Me and Maya are close enough so I can tell her my secret. I saw her in class, and i sat down next to her.

"Maya, I need to tell you a secret. I can trust you right?" I whispered.

She whispered back, "yeah, what's your secret?"

"I have a crush on lucas!" I whispered.

Her mouth dropped. I laughed, but really quietly so the teacher won't hear me.

Maya's POV

Riley told me that she like lucas. I could not believe it! I was going to tell her that I was going to hang out with lucas after school, but she might think it will be a date (which it isn't, I think) and she just became my friend. She cannot be mad at me. I turned my head back to the teacher and thought about after school. I honostly can't wait! But we are just friends!
