Ch 24 - Flood

You had a plan at hand. Wanting to call and hear a sign before getting to work. Just making sure that everything was all in order. "Hey Stray Devil. You got one minute. Otherwise we're going to burn you alive in this field. I'm waiting."

"Hey now." Rias tried to reason.

"Hay is for horses Master. And I see corn."

"I like corn." Said Serafall.

"Sorry Baby but if he's hiding then I'll burn it if I have to."

"Levy!" Whined Serafall. "You're full of hatred."

"I'm sorry my love, just on my guard. I yelled out the warning."

She snatched your hand. "Not happening." Glaring at you.

Woah... I pissed her off. What the hell am I doing? "Ummm."

"Let's flood instead. He'll float out."

"Okay. I'll just watch." You turn away. You're so disappointed in yourself. Tried to overdue it. But you think about it and Serafall wouldn't want you burning down this whole field. Your emotions got to your. Your self esteem and rage combined and almost burned down the corn. That would never do. 

Serafall started to float in the air. Concentrating on her breathing. Closing her eyes and finding her center. "Fear not my love. Please fly up."

"She's right." Pointed out Rias. "This water will be everywhere."

"Good point." You begin to hover a few feet. Who knows when the waterworks are going to start. Not a great place to be. The ground in the field was not safe by any stretch. I actually really want to see what she can do. He might drown him and his body will float all the way to us.

Her eyes glowed to a blue. Then you can feel the raw energy that was being put into affect. She was going to hit this place hard. "Kozui!" (Flood) As if she has summoned a broken dam, bodies of water began to pour. Gallons by the tanker. It was incredible how all of the land was getting watered and some places flooded more than others. An amazing sight. If that wasn't impressive enough, Serafall made the flood body of water in the field to do a wave. This is when you start to see a body.

It's a man floating on top of this water caused by Serafall. He began to flow down to your general direction. To eventually skid across dirt that Serafall left untouched. No wonder why she was called Leviathan. To have that precise control of an element at that much capacity. Flooding multiple acres and giving areas an invisible barrier. Once she saw the man who seemed to be the target she sucked all the water up into a floating blob above the area.

You watch the man cough and recovery as the blob creates a shadow above. "Holy hell..." This is another ungodly power to see your fiance perform. She keeps on impressing. 

"Ame!" (Rain) She snapped her fingers and the massive glob turned into rain. Spreading it all out to every part of the field. Making sure all the plants had plenty of water to spare. "Yay. All done." With her eyes going back and cute smile she gently descended downward. "It's safe Levy."

"Alright. Thank you." You swoop down and lightly land in front of the man who has recovered. But he doesn't look like he is in the greatest mood. "Tell me, what's up?"

"Who's asking?" He sighed.

"Well actually, my Master got assigned to find a stray Devil and now it is our turn to decide what to do. In a cornfield I felt threatened. So we sort of fished you out. And my dumb ass thought about burning the place down."

"Yeah.Master." He sighed sadly. "I walked away from mine to clear my head for a while. That's all. I was just upset."

"What's going on?" Let's see what is behind these walls.

"I saw my Master kiss another man. And I have feelings for her. I tried to make the hint but I guess she didn't mean much of it."

"Tell her how you feel. Make her know. Ask what to do. No matter what, she is your Master. Plain and simple. Why avoid her?" There has to be something about his Master and you need to know.

"I just couldn't take seeing her on a date and kissing someone unworthy. She deserves much better and I wanted to at least have a shot. Just a chance. Do whatever it takes to show her that I care. But that would go unnoticed."

 "I got lucky. Met my lover at first sight. But I can't lie, being a Devil scares me. Away from home, expectations, and as far as love goes, wouldn't it be hard to marry a human girl?"

"Exactly."

"I got lucky man. I did. But without my Master I might be in a similar place. Running to find an escape until someone cut me off. Isn't that something?"

"Yeah..."

"Tell you what man. No more violence. We won't go after you, and we won't hurt you. Go to her and confess before we change our minds. I'm fair but we were given the order to find you. That could mean kill if needed."

"Aware..." He felt more and more foolish.

You extended your hand. "(FN)". 

"Damose." He shook your hand.

"Ready to go home?" You smiled.

"Yes I am. Good luck. And thank you."

"Likewise." You watch him teleport off. I tried to force things because I felt weak. I guess we all do. But there is more to being a Devil then just to make deals and hurt others. I think I could have taken him too after the flood. Oh well.

Rias smiled. "Let's go home. We're done here."

Serafall hugged you. "You worried me there." She cooed.

"The fire?"

"More to being a Devil then power. You were so kind and even saved his life. The power is growing with you Levy. I feel it. But don't force your way. You could have killed him before he came forward."

"Yeah... Not proud of it."

"I love you (FN). Let's go home."

"Yeah, please." It may take years, but glad I helped with this one. All that matters.

"Great. Let's plan the wedding."

"Huh!?"

"WEEEEE!!!"
