Chapter 4 - New Beginning

"Make it quick," Kuro said

Tears pricked my eyes as I walked up to him. Before he could even get out any words I slapped him hard across the face, the sound echoing and getting everyone's attention.

"Get out," I said weakly

"Skye, ple-"

"I said get out" I hissed, a bit more assertive

"Baby, just hear me o-"

"TOYA TODOROKI, GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FACE BEFORE I MAKE YOUR SKIN GRAPHS LOOK LIKE A GODDAMN PAPER CUT YOU BURNT KNOCK OFF JACK SKELLINGTON!" I yelled in angry tears

The room gasped at my outburst and almost everyone backed away from me.

"Mouse" he pleaded

"I don't wanna see you ever again" I sniffled while hugging myself "And never call me that again."

"I made a mistake."

"No, you made a choice..." I sighed "You broke my heart Toya. There's no fixing that."

"I'm sorry. Just let me-"

"Just go," I said, hoping he would listen. I looked up at Kuro "Please, just get him away from me"

Toya went to say something else but Kuro pulled him through a portal before he could. I wiped my tears away silently. I could feel myself be pulled into a hug by Katsu. I didn't even bother to fight it, just leaned into him and cried quietly.

"It'll be okay" he whispered to me while gently petting my head

After a while, the lunch bell rang. Some half-n-half kid walked up to me.

"That guy," he began to say

"I don't wanna talk about it" I sighed with an apple in my hand, activating my poison and rotting it

"Please, just answer one question." he practically begged, "Was that really Toya Todoroki?"

"Yeah," I said, still not looking up "Why?"

"Because I'm Shoto Todoroki," he explained, causing me to look up at him

"You're his brother?" I asked in surprise

"Yeah, it's okay if you don't want to talk about him," he said

"No, no. It's okay. Ask whatever you want."

"I just want to know why he became a villain." he sighed

"Your father," I sighed sadly

"What?" he asked, confused

"I don't know much about him but apparently he's some sort of monster. A poor excuse of what a hero is supposed to be and an even worse excuse of a father. He didn't tell me much about why but he doesn't want to have anything in common with him. Even if it's being a hero." I explained while staring into my cold soup

"Want me to heat that for you?" he asked, breaking the tension

"My soup? Um, sure. Thank you" I smiled

He heated my bowl using his left hand and offered a comforting smile. We talked more about ourselves during lunch and ended up becoming pretty good friends. When we got back to class, Katsu walked up to us.

"You okay? Didn't see you at lunch," he said in concern

"Yeah, I'm doing better." I smiled at him "I was eating with Sho Sho"

He laughed a bit at the nickname "Sho Sho? Nice name Icy Hot"

I pouted and flicked him on the forehead.

"Be nice" I huffed

"Skye," Present Mic said "I need you to take these paper to 1-B and give them to Vlad King"

"Kay," I said and grabbed the papers

"Oh, I thought you were with recovery girl," the teacher said as I walked in "Glad you're feeling better. Take your seat."

"What are you talking about?" I asked in confusion "Mic wanted me to bring some papers to you. You're confused."

I felt someone slid an arm around my waist "Now that you're feeling better, why don't we do something after school?"

I jabbed him in the stomach and flipped him to the ground "Who the fuck said you could touch me you six-piece Chicken McNobody?"

The class seemed taken back by my reaction.

"Since when do you curse?" some vine-haired girl asked

"Who the fuck are you? Swamp thing's religious daughter? Why don't you go back to your gardening and hop off my dick." I walked up to the teacher "Here're your damn papers, I'm going back to class."

"Wait," the teacher said, "What's your name?"

I rolled my eyes "Skye"

"S-sorry I took so long," a girl said shyly from behind me

I turned around and went wide-eyed.

"Skye?" she asked in tears, not believing I was actually in front of her

"STAR?!" I yelled in shock. Before I knew she was glomping me "I missed you so much. How's Ray? Is Mom okay? How have you been? How long has it been?"

She hugged me back "I missed you too. Let's talk more after school."

"Sounds great. I should get back to class. School is almost over." I said, "Mic might think I'm ditching."

"Star," her teacher said "If you would like, you can leave with her. Just make sure Mic is okay with it."

"Th-thank you so much, Sir!" she chirped and bowed to him

We walked off to class and Mic nearly fell to the ground seeing us side by side.

"Umm... M-Mr. Mic, Sir? Is it okay if I stay in your class till school is over?" she asked timidly

"Ugh..... y-yeah. Sure," he said awkwardly

"C'mon, I want you to meet some people."

I walked over to the Baku Squad and waved Sho Sho over to us.

"Guys, want you to meet someone important," I smiled "Meet my twin sister"

"I-it's nice to m-meet you all," she stuttered shyly "I-I'm S-Star Alcott."

"Wait a second" Katsu said, "How the hell are you her twin sister if you have a different name and weren't living with her."

Star began to tear up remembering when we were separated.

"It's okay," I said comfortingly "I'll tell him. Cover your ears if it hurts too much to hear."
